  • • The Payroll Associate role at Deel is an entry-level position critical to ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a globally distributed workforce of over 7,000 employees across 100+ countries. This role directly supports Deel’s mission to unlock global opportunity by maintaining the integrity of payroll operations that ensure workers are paid correctly and compliantly, regardless of location.
  • • As part of Deel’s rapidly growing payroll infrastructure team, the Payroll Associate contributes to the company’s ability to scale smarter and faster by handling foundational payroll tasks with precision, enabling the organization to maintain its reputation for compliance and reliability in 150+ jurisdictions.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in the processing of payroll data for employees across multiple countries, ensuring all inputs such as salaries, hours worked, bonuses, and deductions are accurately entered and validated.
  • • The role involves helping maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Deel’s HRIS and payroll systems, including updates to personal information, bank details, tax forms, and employment status changes.
  • • A key duty is verifying and reconciling employee data by cross-checking timekeeping records, payroll inputs, and deduction reports to identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll runs.
  • • The Payroll Associate supports payroll tax calculations and filings by assisting with the preparation of tax-related data, ensuring correct withholdings are applied according to local regulations in EMEA and other regions.
  • • Providing first-line support to employees for payroll-related inquiries is essential, including responding to questions about payslips, deductions, payment timing, and benefits via internal ticketing systems or email.
  • • The role includes helping maintain compliance with payroll laws and regulations by monitoring changes in local labor and tax laws, assisting in audit preparations, and ensuring adherence to statutory reporting deadlines.
  • • Working within a highly distributed, multicultural team of payroll specialists, the associate collaborates with peers across time zones to ensure seamless handoffs and consistent processing standards.
