  • • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in supporting the day-to-day payroll operations within South Korea. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll data, maintaining meticulous employee records, and executing basic payroll processing tasks.   • • Your responsibilities will encompass a range of essential payroll functions:
  • • **Assist in Processing Payroll Data:** You will play a vital role in the accurate and timely processing of payroll data for employees, ensuring all inputs are correctly captured and validated.
  • • **Maintain Accurate Employee Records:** Diligently update and maintain employee records, ensuring all information related to compensation, deductions, and personal details is current, accurate, and securely stored.
  • • **Verify and Reconcile Employee Data:** Conduct thorough verification and reconciliation of employee data, including salaries, hours worked, benefits, and statutory deductions, to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
  • • **Support South Korea Payroll Tax Calculations and Filings:** Assist in the accurate calculation of payroll taxes specific to South Korea and support the timely filing of all necessary tax documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • • **Provide Employee Support:** Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing their payroll-related questions and resolving issues promptly and professionally, thereby enhancing the employee experience.
  • • **Ensure Compliance with Local Regulations:** Help maintain strict adherence to South Korea's payroll laws, labor regulations, and tax requirements, contributing to Deel's reputation for compliant global operations.
  • • **Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:** Work closely with HR, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless payroll processing and address any related queries or requirements.
  • • **Contribute to Process Improvement:** Identify opportunities for improving payroll processes and workflows, suggesting and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • • **Handle Confidential Information:** Manage sensitive employee and payroll data with the utmost discretion and confidentiality, adhering to strict data privacy protocols.
  • • **Support Audits and Reporting:** Assist in gathering information and preparing documentation for internal and external payroll audits and generate basic payroll reports as needed.
  • • **Stay Updated on Regulations:** Keep abreast of changes in South Korean payroll legislation and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and operational effectiveness.
