  • • BJAK is at the forefront of building superior application platforms globally, driven by a mission to foster successful businesses and contribute positively to society through enhanced efficiency. We pioneered the first and leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia, successfully digitizing the industry and currently serving over 8 million users across the region. Our journey continues as we innovate with new, cutting-edge applications in emerging use cases, increasingly integrating AI to redefine industry standards. Our team is characterized by its exceptional talent, high motivation, and unwavering focus on engineering and product excellence within a uniquely flat organizational structure. Every team member is expected to be hands-on, contributing directly and significantly to the company's overarching mission.
  • • As a Payroll & Benefits Analyst at BJAK, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of payroll and benefits administration for Malaysia and designated overseas entities. This is a position that demands the highest levels of precision, trust, and responsibility. You will be entrusted with the complete ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring strict adherence to statutory compliance, seamless coordination with external vendors, and the implementation of robust payroll controls. Your primary objective will be to guarantee that every employee is compensated correctly and punctually, without exception, in every payroll cycle. This role requires close collaboration with various internal departments, including People Operations, HR Business Partners, and Finance, as well as external partners, to support BJAK's ambitious growth and expansion across multiple markets.
  • • Your responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and other assigned regional markets. This includes meticulously validating all payroll inputs, such as data for new joiners, employee exits, various allowances, incentive payouts, expense claims, attendance records, and deductions. You will be the primary point of contact for managing all statutory submissions and ensuring compliance with regulations like EPF, SOCSO, EIS, income tax, and their international equivalents, guaranteeing that all payroll processes align perfectly with local labor laws and regulatory mandates.
  • • A critical aspect of your role will involve conducting thorough payroll checks, performing detailed reconciliations, and validating all data prior to payout. This meticulous approach is essential for maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring that all documentation is audit-ready at all times. You will also be responsible for processing salary adjustments, promotions, bonus payouts, allowances, and any ad-hoc payment requests with the utmost accuracy and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • • Effective vendor management is key to this role. You will coordinate and manage relationships with payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and Employer of Record (EOR) providers. This involves validating their outputs, proactively resolving any discrepancies, and ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to guarantee smooth operations.
  • • Furthermore, you will be tasked with preparing comprehensive payroll reports, detailed reconciliations, and essential documentation for HR, Finance, and senior management. This support is crucial for facilitating audits, informing budgeting processes, and contributing to compensation analysis initiatives. You will also play an active role in identifying potential gaps or inefficiencies within existing payroll workflows and will be instrumental in supporting the implementation of improvements, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), automation initiatives, and seamless integration with our HRIS tools.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing company, contributing directly to the operational excellence that underpins our success. You will work in a collaborative environment where your contributions are valued and where continuous improvement is a core tenet.
