- • Own end-to-end monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and assigned regional markets, validating all payroll inputs including joiners, exits, allowances, incentives, claims, attendance, and deductions.
- • Manage statutory submissions and compliance for Malaysian regulations including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, and income tax, ensuring full adherence to local labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- • Perform rigorous payroll checks, reconciliations, and validations prior to payout to maintain internal controls and ensure audit-ready documentation.
- • Process salary adjustments, promotions, bonuses, allowances, and ad-hoc payments with full accuracy and strict confidentiality.
- • Coordinate and manage relationships with payroll vendors, regional payroll partners, and EOR providers, validating outputs, resolving discrepancies, and enforcing service level agreements.
- • Prepare comprehensive payroll reports, reconciliations, and documentation for HR, Finance, and management teams to support audits, budgeting, and compensation analysis.
- • Identify inefficiencies in existing payroll workflows and support improvements in standard operating procedures, automation initiatives, and HRIS system integration.
- • Work closely with People Ops, HR Business Partners, and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll execution across BJAK’s expanding regional operations.
- • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee compensation data and handle sensitive payroll information with professional discretion.
- • Ensure timely and accurate payroll disbursement across all assigned markets without exception, upholding the company’s commitment to employee trust and operational excellence.
- • Contribute to scaling payroll operations as BJAK expands into new markets by adapting processes to meet regional compliance standards and vendor requirements.
- • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance HR technology stack and streamline payroll-related data flows between systems.
- • Stay updated on changes in Malaysian employment legislation and proactively implement necessary adjustments to payroll practices.
- • Support annual budgeting cycles by providing accurate payroll cost projections and historical data analysis for compensation planning.
- • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers, resolving issues promptly and accurately.
- • Document all payroll procedures and control measures to ensure continuity, compliance, and knowledge transfer within the team.
