  • • As a Payroll Compliance Analyst at Deel, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant payroll processing for employees in Belgium and beyond, directly supporting the company’s mission to enable seamless global hiring and payment. Your expertise will help maintain Deel’s reputation as a trusted, compliant global payroll provider, safeguarding both the company and its clients from regulatory risk while enabling scalable international growth.
  • • You will collaborate closely with Product Specialists to interpret Belgium-specific payroll legislation and translate it into precise technical requirements for the payroll engine, ensuring that all calculations, deductions, and reporting align with local tax, social security, and labor laws.
  • • You will educate and train the Product and Development teams on evolving Belgian payroll regulations, verifying that implementations are correctly built and tested, and acting as the subject matter expert to bridge legal knowledge with technical execution.
  • • You will develop, maintain, and continuously update legislative specifications for payroll reports, integrations, and country-specific configurations, proactively identifying and addressing new regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance across Deel’s global platform.
  • • You will drive compliance awareness within the Product team by leading workshops, creating documentation, and partnering on new in-country requirements, fostering a culture of proactive regulatory adherence and continuous learning.
  • • You will manage multiple competing priorities with precision and timeliness, balancing detailed legislative analysis, stakeholder communication, and cross-functional coordination to meet product release cycles and compliance deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
  • • You will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, translating complex Belgian payroll rules into clear, actionable guidance for non-experts, enabling smoother collaboration between legal, product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
  • • You will contribute to Deel’s broader global compliance strategy by leveraging your Belgium expertise to inform multi-country payroll solutions, helping standardize best practices while respecting local nuances.
  • • You will grow your expertise in international payroll systems, regulatory technology, and SaaS product development, positioning yourself as a leader in the evolving field of global workforce compliance and gaining exposure to cutting-edge AI-powered HR technology at a fast-scaling unicorn.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • • 4+ years of hands-on payroll experience specifically in Belgium, including advanced knowledge of Belgian payroll tax, social security contributions, and statutory deductions
  • • Strong working knowledge of Belgian labor laws, HR regulations, and compliance requirements related to payroll processing, reporting, and employee benefits
  • • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks with high accuracy and timely delivery under pressure
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex payroll and legislative concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting tasks
