  • • As a Payroll Expert at Deel, you will serve as a regional subject matter expert responsible for owning end-to-end payroll execution for specific countries or regions, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing that directly impacts the financial well-being of global workers and supports Deel’s mission to unlock global opportunity for every person, team, and business.
  • • You will evaluate and select payroll software aligned with Deel’s technology requirements, ensure accurate and timely payroll execution across your region and other trained countries, prepare and reconcile internal payroll reports for compliance with local tax authorities, own critical local payroll and HR processes including involuntary deductions, onboarding, and offboarding, schedule and reconcile payroll expense collections, assess and improve rapid-growth processes for compliance, stay updated on local regulatory changes and communicate them across teams, provide cross-functional expertise on local payroll and HR matters, and answer complex payroll and HR questions from employees and clients in your region.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • • 5+ years of payroll and HR experience with direct experience in the relevant country or region
  • • Strong working knowledge of local payroll regulations, tax policies, and HR compliance requirements
  • • Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex payroll issues clearly to diverse stakeholders
  • • Experience managing technology and external payroll providers, implementing new payrolls on industry-recognized solutions, and working across multiple country jurisdictions is preferred
