- • As the Payroll Lead for Slovakia at Remote Technologies Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping and executing our global payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strict compliance with all Slovakian statutory regulations and corporate policies.
- • This senior individual contributor role offers a unique opportunity to own the entire Country Pod for Slovakia, providing expert guidance and mentorship to the team while driving best practices in payroll processing.
- • You will be responsible for end-to-end in-house payroll processing, managing the entire lifecycle from data input and validation to final disbursement and reconciliation.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll-related matters, liaising effectively with internal departments (such as Finance, HR, and Legal) and external stakeholders, including payroll service providers, accounting firms, and government agencies.
- • Staying abreast of the ever-evolving landscape of international payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefit schemes, particularly within Slovakia, is crucial for maintaining compliance and mitigating risks.
- • You will meticulously ensure adherence to all corporate governance requirements and country-specific regulations, policies, and procedures, including data privacy laws like GDPR.
- • This role involves actively managing and nurturing relationships with existing payroll, accounting, and payroll service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and performance is optimized.

🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Payroll Expert with extensive knowledge of the payroll function, including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes, specifically within Slovakia.
- • Professional working proficiency in both English and Slovak languages.
- • Proficiency in using payroll software, with experience in SAP and advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with Helios software is a plus.
- • Deep understanding of Slovakian payroll laws, tax regulations, and benefit schemes, along with general knowledge of international payroll best practices.
- • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage risk and exercise sound judgment.
