- • The Payroll Senior Analyst executes advanced payroll operations and manages complex payroll processes to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll outcomes for Ohio State University.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing resolution of escalated and sensitive payroll cases across multiple business units, auditing payroll data for compliance with federal, state, and local laws, performing detailed earnings and tax calculations, and administering specialized activities such as overpayment recovery, manual adjustments, off-cycle processing, and retroactive pay.
- • The role is part of the Business and Finance | Payroll Services department, partnering closely with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Tax, Finance, managers, and employees to resolve time-sensitive payroll issues and support operational needs.
- • The position offers opportunities to develop and maintain standard operating procedures, support process improvements and system enhancements, conduct compliance reviews and payroll audits, and contribute to operational efficiencies and risk mitigation in a high-volume, highly regulated environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- • Four (4) years of relevant payroll experience
- • Advanced payroll expertise with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- • Ability to independently manage complex payroll scenarios in a high-volume, regulated environment
- • Advanced knowledge of gross-to-net paycheck calculations (desired)
- • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (desired)
