  • • As a Payroll Specialist EMEA at Pebl Technologies Inc., you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for employees across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, directly supporting the company’s mission to enable seamless global hiring and operations through its AI-powered Global Work Platform™. Your work will mitigate compliance risks, uphold financial integrity, and contribute to scalable payroll solutions that empower businesses to grow internationally with confidence.
  • • On a day-to-day basis, you will execute weekly and monthly payroll functions for Employer of Record (EOR) services, including managing employee inquiries, conducting audits, preparing reports, and supporting new entity setups; coordinate payroll activities with external vendors (MSPs/ICPs) and internal Finance teams; ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates such as new hires, terminations, bonuses, and pay rate changes; prepare payroll inputs for third-party providers, review outputs, perform reasonability checks, and adhere strictly to payroll calendars; follow and implement SOX controls; maintain accurate payroll records and reports by entering data into databases and spreadsheets; ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements by collaborating with MSPs/ICPs, Finance, People, Benefits, and Legal teams; support internal and external audits by providing required documentation; resolve employee inquiries related to payroll, expense reporting, and vendor billing in a timely manner; identify and drive process improvements in regional payroll operations; maintain and update payroll process documentation for consistency across regions; partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and other teams to deliver effective solutions; contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives; act as backup support for other global payroll regions as needed; ensure GDPR-compliant handling of personal information; provide timely payroll, expense, and billing support to the account management team; and build expertise in international employment, payroll, and PEO operations.

  • • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in multi-country payroll compliance, particularly within the EMEA region, while gaining exposure to global payroll operations, ERP systems like NetSuite, and expense management tools such as Expensify. You will develop strong stakeholder management skills through cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, People, and Operations teams, and enhance your ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize under pressure, and drive process excellence. Over time, you will have the opportunity to expand your scope beyond EMEA, contribute to scalable global payroll solutions, and grow into a trusted payroll authority within a fast-growing, innovative HR technology company.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 3 years of relevant payroll experience
  • • Strong knowledge of EMEA payroll legislation and year-end requirements
  • • Experience managing complex payrolls with multiple data sources and vendors
  • • Strong Excel and payroll software skills
  • • Experience working in NetSuite or a similar ERP system
  • • Experience with Expensify or similar expense management platforms (preferred)
  • • Fluency in Business English
  • • Strong controls mindset with exceptional attention to detail
  • • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with ambiguity
  • • Self-motivated, positive, and eager to learn while supporting others’ growth
