- • As the primary People lead for RightCard Payments Limited’s Lagos hub, you will architect the employee experience for over 250 team members in Nigeria, bridging global people strategy with local execution to ensure a high-performing workplace.
- • You will partner with Nigerian managers and UK-based functional leaders as a trusted advisor, providing commercially grounded guidance on team dynamics, performance, and organisational design.
- • You will lead the people workstream for the new Lagos office, defining culture and employee experience to foster collaboration in the physical workspace.
- • You will manage end-to-end employee relations cases in Nigeria with empathy, fairness, and legal precision, while overseeing compliance with Nigerian statutory obligations including PAYE, HMO, Pension, and NHF.
- • You will coach and upskill people managers through training focused on LemFi’s management standards and drive change management for global initiatives like performance frameworks and culture programmes.
- • You will synthesise local people data to deliver actionable insights on retention, engagement, and hub health to the VP of People, and champion AI-driven HR tools to automate administrative tasks.
- • You will work alongside the Global People Team to support or lead global projects, taking full ownership of the Lagos people agenda and identifying gaps to implement solutions independently.
- • You will thrive in a high-growth, distributed environment, navigating between local and international stakeholders with strong cross-cultural communication and relationship-building skills.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5 to 8 years of experience as an HR generalist with significant exposure to the Nigerian market
- • Proven experience navigating complex employee relations and influencing senior stakeholders
- • Practical expertise managing Nigerian statutory requirements including PAYE, HMO, Pension, and NHF
- • Strong working knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act and current employment best practices
- • Experience contributing to change management programmes such as office moves or performance system rollouts
- • Proficiency with modern HRIS platforms; experience with Rippling is a plus
