📋 Description
- • Own the full lifecycle of HR operations including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and HRIS management for a 40+ person team expanding to 100+ employees
- • Design and implement consistent onboarding processes including standardized checklists and 30-60-90 day plans while tailoring role-specific elements to maintain agility
- • Manage employee relations issues with fairness, confidentiality, and sound judgment, including workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and accommodation requests
- • Serve as the primary owner of compliance with federal and state employment laws across a hybrid workforce—50% in California and 50% nationally—ensuring proper classification, insurance, and legal adherence
- • Administer and advocate for the company’s benefits package, balancing employee needs with cost efficiency while driving improvements based on data and feedback
- • Generate workforce analytics and insights to inform strategic business decisions related to talent, retention, and organizational structure
- • Configure and optimize the ATS (Ashby) for end-to-end recruiting workflows—from job posting and interview scheduling to permissions and candidate tracking
- • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational design, and succession planning to align people strategy with business growth goals
- • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to ensure they understand and execute Parkade’s hiring process, including opening requisitions, posting roles, and conducting interviews
- • Bring in external recruiting support (full-time, part-time, or consultants) when more than 1-2 junior roles are open to maintain quality and speed in hiring
- • Build and sustain company culture by preserving quirky, fun traditions while introducing new rituals that celebrate wins and foster connection as the team scales
- • Train and coach people managers on delivering feedback in all directions (upward, downward, peer-to-peer), guiding them through performance improvement plans and accountability frameworks
- • Act as the internal face of HR, people, talent, and culture—building trust across teams and serving as a go-to resource for all people-related concerns
- • Adapt enterprise-grade HR policies and procedures to fit an entrepreneurial startup environment without diluting the unique, vibrant culture that defines Parkade
- • Coordinate offboarding processes with consistency and professionalism, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance
- • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all employee documentation, compliance filings, and internal HR metrics
- • Work directly with founders and team leaders to embed cultural values into daily operations, onboarding, and organizational decisions
