- • Join PermitFlow, a pioneering applied AI company revolutionizing the construction industry, and play a pivotal role in shaping our People Operations as our new People Operations Manager. We are at the forefront of tackling one of the economy's most significant information challenges: deciphering what can be built, where, and how. Our innovative AI agent workforce empowers the nation's fastest-growing construction companies, streamlining processes from permitting and licensing to inspections and project closeouts. By accelerating housing, clean-energy, and infrastructure development across the country, PermitFlow is instrumental in driving the next wave of reindustrialization.
- • In this critical role, you will be the operational backbone of our People function, partnering closely with employees, managers, and leadership to build, refine, and execute core HR processes. Your mission will be to elevate employee engagement and ensure our internal systems are robust, efficient, and supportive of our rapidly growing team. You will be an owner, taking initiative to enhance the systems that underpin our most valuable asset: our people.
- • Your responsibilities will span the entire employee lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from day one. This includes managing the daily intricacies of People Operations, serving as the primary point of contact for all organizational people needs. You will expertly navigate our PEO and Global EOR, specifically managing payroll through Rippling, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- • You will be the go-to person for all operational aspects of the employee journey, including meticulous handling of onboarding processes to welcome new team members, managing offboarding with professionalism and care, facilitating role changes smoothly, and administering leaves of absence. This encompasses complex scenarios like parental leave and navigating state-specific claims, requiring a deep understanding of diverse employee needs and regulatory landscapes.
- • A key component of your role will involve contributing to our competitive employee value proposition through strategic benefits administration. You will support annual benefits benchmarking to ensure our offerings remain attractive and relevant in the market. Furthermore, you will expertly manage the open enrollment process, guiding employees and ensuring they have the information and support needed to make informed decisions about their benefits.
- • You will also be instrumental in supporting our performance management, compensation, and retention strategies. Collaborating closely with leadership, you will assist during the annual performance review cycle, ensuring its smooth execution. Your analytical skills will be leveraged to conduct compensation benchmarking analysis, providing insights to maintain competitive pay structures. You will also contribute to developing and implementing programs specifically designed to enhance employee retention and boost overall engagement, fostering a culture where our team members feel valued and motivated.
- • For our international team members, you will provide essential support with immigration matters. This includes assisting employees on visas with transfers, renewals, and acting as a liaison with our immigration counsel, ensuring a compliant and supportive experience for our global talent.
- • Beyond these specific functions, you will serve as a trusted, day-to-day resource for all employees and managers. You will approach every interaction with care, clarity, and the utmost discretion, building strong relationships and fostering an environment of trust and open communication across all levels of the organization. Your ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking will be crucial as you help scale our People operations to meet the demands of a high-growth tech company.
- • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about building exceptional employee experiences. You will be empowered to make a tangible impact, directly contributing to PermitFlow's mission of redefining construction through technology and AI. Your work will directly influence our ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent, which is critical to our continued success and growth. You will be an integral part of a team that is passionate about innovation and committed to making a difference in a foundational industry. Your contributions will be recognized and valued as we continue to scale and achieve new milestones, including our recent Series B funding round from top-tier investors.
