- • As a Performance Marketing Manager for Europe at Whatnot, you will be instrumental in driving the company's growth by identifying, rigorously testing, and scaling innovative paid media channels. This role is pivotal in expanding Whatnot's reach beyond established platforms, requiring a hands-on, data-driven approach to launching and managing new performance marketing programs from the ground up.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of campaign experiments, from conceptualization and creative development to audience segmentation, bid strategy optimization, and performance analysis. The goal is to validate channel fit, measure incremental impact, and ultimately accelerate Whatnot's user acquisition and revenue growth across the European market.
- • A key aspect of this role involves building structured testing roadmaps. These roadmaps will serve as the blueprint for validating new channels, ensuring that every experiment is designed to yield actionable insights and measurable performance outcomes. You will meticulously track key performance indicators (KPIs) to understand the effectiveness of each initiative.
- • You will own the day-to-day execution and performance monitoring for these early-stage channels. This includes managing budgets, optimizing campaigns in real-time, and ensuring that all activities align with Whatnot's strategic objectives for efficient demand generation.
- • A significant part of your responsibility will be to analyze spend efficiency, conversion rates, and customer lifetime value (LTV) metrics. The ultimate aim is to optimize campaigns towards critical business goals such as Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and payback periods, ensuring marketing investments are both effective and profitable.
- • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with channel leads, creative teams, data analysts, and finance departments to validate and grow new sources of efficient demand. This cross-functional partnership is essential for ensuring campaigns are accurately tracked, measured, and reported, and that insights are translated into strategic decisions.
- • You will partner with creative teams to foster a continuous feedback loop, iterating on messaging and ad formats based on data-driven insights. This ensures that Whatnot's marketing creative is always relevant, engaging, and effective across diverse cultural contexts within Europe.
- • You will also collaborate with Data, Finance, Product, and broader Marketing teams to guarantee that all campaigns are set up with robust tracking mechanisms, measured accurately, and reported comprehensively. This ensures a unified understanding of performance across the organization.
- • Communicating actionable insights to stakeholders will be a critical function. You will present findings, explain performance trends, and propose data-backed recommendations for scaling successful initiatives to senior leadership and relevant teams.
- • Staying at the forefront of the performance marketing landscape is crucial. You will be expected to keep abreast of the latest advancements in ad tech, attribution methodologies, and analytics solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
- • Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to recommend and evaluate new tools and platforms that can enhance targeting capabilities, improve measurement accuracy, and scale campaign operations effectively on a global level, with a specific focus on the European market.
- • This role is perfect for a "builder" who thrives in ambiguous environments, possesses a strong "builder mentality," and excels at driving end-to-end experimentation with a high degree of measurement rigor. You should be comfortable balancing both strategic planning and tactical execution, ensuring that Whatnot continues its rapid growth trajectory.
- • You will report directly to the Director of Performance Marketing, contributing to the overall strategic direction of performance marketing efforts in Europe and playing a key role in shaping the future of e-commerce marketing for Whatnot.
- • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in performance marketing, growth marketing, or digital media, with hands-on experience managing significant budgets across multiple self-serve ad platforms. A strong command of key metrics and data analysis is essential for driving campaign outcomes and demonstrating ROI.
- • You will be expected to live within commuting distance of our London, UK hub, fostering collaboration and engagement within the local team while contributing to Whatnot's global mission.
