- • The Permit Coordinator role at Greenlite supports the Operations team by preparing, assembling, and submitting commercial building permit applications, tracking submission progress, and assisting with administrative tasks such as updating project statuses and managing files in proprietary software, while conducting ad-hoc regulatory research. This role is critical to eliminating permitting uncertainty for developers nationwide by ensuring plans are code-ready before submission, reducing revisions, delays, and costs in a process that impacts over 500,000 forms and 20,000 jurisdictions across the U.S.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and preparing permit applications with detailed project plans and environmental impact assessments, organizing compliance documentation, maintaining project trackers and file systems, interfacing with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and client design teams to clarify submission requirements, tracking application status, communicating with local governments about zoning ordinances and building codes, supporting plan package preparation, assisting with permit filings, handling client inquiries, and providing regular project updates to stakeholders.
- • Greenlite, founded in 2022 by builders, entrepreneurs, and industry experts, combines AI-powered technology with an in-house team of registered architects, engineers, and city planners to deliver the fastest, most predictable path to permit approval. The company has raised $86M in venture funding from leading investors including Insight Partners, Energize Capital, Craft Ventures, LiveOak Ventures, Trust Ventures, and Chicago Ventures, and is trusted by national brands like Walgreens, TD Bank, and Driven Brands to accelerate approvals, reduce risk, and unlock growth.
- • In this role, you will develop expertise in commercial permitting processes, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional coordination between government agencies, clients, and internal teams. You will gain hands-on experience with proprietary software and tools like Airtable, Notion, and G-Suite, while building strong organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on transforming a broken system in the construction industry.
