📋 Description
- • The Permit Review Expert role is a part-time contractor position focused on shaping the world’s first AI-native permitting system by providing real-world expertise to improve AI accuracy in building permit reviews.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting building codes, running real permit applications through the AI product alongside normal workflows, reviewing AI outputs for errors or misapplied code, sharing jurisdiction-specific insights on review processes, and defining pass/fail/conditional benchmarks to serve as ground truth for model training.
- • BrainCo Inc. is at the forefront of productionizing AI for real-world government applications, aiming to transform manual permit review processes through automation and intelligent systems that reduce inefficiencies in public sector workflows.
- • In this role, you will directly influence the development of a cutting-edge AI tool, gain exposure to AI product development and government technology (GovTech) innovation, and help establish industry benchmarks for AI-assisted permitting accuracy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of hands-on permit review experience in Florida, Texas, or California
- • Active or former plans examiner, building official, or permit reviewer from a municipal department or third-party firm
- • Willingness to share real-world examples of passed and failed permit applications
