- • As an Advanced Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of providing comprehensive patient care, encompassing both direct operational and clinical pharmacy services. Your role is critical in ensuring the safe, effective, and appropriate use of medications for a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
- • You will be responsible for the meticulous management of medications, ensuring accurate drug distribution and upholding the highest standards of patient care. This includes vigilant drug therapy monitoring and proactive intervention to optimize patient outcomes.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve providing clear, concise, and timely responses to drug information requests, serving as a vital resource for healthcare professionals within the organization.
- • You will play a crucial role in overseeing the work of pharmacy support personnel, meticulously checking and verifying the accuracy of all tasks performed. In situations where staffing demands, you may also function as a lead pharmacist, actively monitoring workload and workflow to ensure seamless departmental operations.
- • This position requires you to actively engage in clinical services, including lab review, providing expert pharmacy consultations, educating patients on their therapies, and meticulously documenting these interactions within the framework of departmental clinical initiatives.
- • You will contribute to the professional development of the pharmacy team by providing valuable experiential education, conducting evaluations, and training for pharmacy technicians, students, and new employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- • You will represent the pharmacy department in collaborative efforts aimed at seamlessly integrating pharmaceutical care across the entire patient continuum, working closely with other healthcare disciplines to ensure holistic patient management.
- • This role may also involve taking ownership of specialty projects or specific initiatives within the department of pharmacy, contributing to innovation and the advancement of pharmacy services.
- • A significant responsibility includes ensuring regulatory oversight and strict compliance with all relevant governing bodies, including the Board of Pharmacy, state health departments, the DEA, and any other agencies that regulate pharmacy activities and operations, safeguarding the integrity and legality of our services.
- • You will perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the broader goals of the pharmacy department and Prisma Health.
- • This is a non-management position, reporting to a designated supervisor, manager, director, or executive, providing a clear reporting structure and opportunities for mentorship and professional guidance.
- • The role is based in Greenville, SC, and specifically within the Prisma Health Home Infusion facility, contributing to a vital service line that extends care beyond the hospital walls.
- • You will work a Day shift, contributing to the operational efficiency of the Home Infusion department during standard business hours.
