- • This role is a PRN (as-needed) Clinical Neurophysiologist position with Mercy Virtual, providing remote EEG interpretation services for adult and pediatric patients across Missouri, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The position supports Mercy’s mission to deliver innovative, accessible neurodiagnostic care through a hospital-without-beds model, improving patient outcomes while reducing costs.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include reading and interpreting routine and STAT EEGs, Rapid EEG (Ceribell), and continuous EEG monitoring for both adult and pediatric patients; communicating findings in real time with bedside and virtual care teams; contributing to workflow development for the tele-EEG program; and educating on-site EEG technicians to ensure consistent, high-quality data acquisition.
- • Mercy Virtual, based in St. Louis, Missouri, is a nationally recognized telehealth leader operating 24/7 with over 300 clinicians. It delivers specialized neurology and stroke care to underserved regions, combining clinical excellence with technological innovation to expand access and improve care coordination.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in clinical neurophysiology, gain experience in telemedicine EEG interpretation, contribute to process improvement in a virtual care setting, and play a direct role in expanding access to critical neurology services for underserved communities.
🎯 Requirements
- • Board Certification in Neurology (required)
- • Fellowship training in Neurophysiology (preferred)
- • Minimum of 50 documented EEG studies interpreted in the last 12 months (including a mix of routine and continuous monitoring)
- • Ability to interpret EEGs for both adult and pediatric populations
- • Strong communication skills for real-time collaboration with clinical teams
- • Commitment to maintaining active medical licensure in states served (MO, OK, AR)
