📋 Description

• As a Physician in Virtual Care at Counsel.com, Inc., you will provide high-quality, AI-paired medical care to patients across acute, primary, and longevity needs through asynchronous messaging, directly multiplying the world's healthcare capacity by delivering personalized, timely, and safe clinical guidance.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include seeing patients via message-based visits, diagnosing and treating conditions, triaging urgency, following up on care plans, practicing with AI as a clinical collaborator, maintaining rigorous standards of clinical reasoning and patient communication, and contributing to team growth through mentorship, peer review, and shaping clinical guidelines.
• You will join a mission-driven, rapidly growing clinical team at Counsel, a VC-backed AI-native medical group founded in 2023 with over $35M in funding, where clinicians are prioritized in the design of tools and workflows, and your frontline experience directly influences the evolution of the platform.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in generalist medicine, gain hands-on experience with AI-augmented clinical workflows, develop leadership and mentorship skills, influence the future of virtual care delivery, and practice medicine with greater autonomy, flexibility, and purpose—seeing the direct impact of your work on patient outcomes and system innovation.

🎯 Requirements

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with an active medical license (10+ licenses preferred; exceptional candidates with fewer licenses considered)
• 3+ years of post-residency clinical experience in urgent care, ER, primary care, or a strong generalist mix
• Genuine interest in acute, primary, and longevity care
• Comfort working in a fully virtual, asynchronous, messaging-based modality
• Ability to commit to 32+ hours per week with flexible scheduling, including limited evening and weekend coverage (2 evenings + 2 weekend days/month)
• Strong written communication skills, as most patient care occurs in writing
