📋 Description

• Polish to Baltic Linguists (Estonian, Lithuanian, Latvian) are sought for a high-impact project with a major Beauty & Cosmetics client, where linguistic precision directly supports brand integrity and regulatory compliance across European markets.
• The role involves two specialized workstreams: Marketing & Sales, requiring creative adaptation of brand voice for consumer-facing content, and Regulatory & Compliance, demanding technical expertise in EU cosmetic regulations, INCI naming, claims substantiation, and label artwork review.
• Linguists will translate and review marketing materials such as product descriptions, advertising copy, and social media content, ensuring cultural relevance and engagement while maintaining brand tone in target Baltic languages.
• In the regulatory stream, professionals will analyze and translate safety data sheets, ingredient lists, compliance documentation, and final label artwork, verifying adherence to EU Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and related standards.
• Candidates will collaborate with project managers and quality assurance teams at Lilt to deliver human-verified, AI-assisted translations that meet both creative and legal benchmarks.
• The role offers exposure to cutting-edge neural machine translation (NMT) technology, with training and support provided to enhance efficiency and consistency in translation workflows.
• Linguists will gain experience working with global beauty brands, deepening their expertise in both creative localization and highly regulated technical content.
• This freelance, remote position allows professionals to manage their own schedules while contributing to meaningful projects that support international product launches and market compliance.

🎯 Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Polish (source) and fluency in one or more of Estonian, Lithuanian, or Latvian (target)
• Proven experience in beauty/cosmetics translation, particularly with marketing or consumer-facing content
• Demonstrated knowledge of EU Cosmetic Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009, INCI naming conventions, and regulatory compliance processes
• Experience with claims substantiation (e.g., 'hypoallergenic', 'dermatologically tested') and ingredient restriction analysis
• Background in translating safety documentation, label artwork, or working with regulated brands such as P&G or Unilever
• Familiarity with neural machine translation (NMT) tools and willingness to engage in Lilt’s platform training and support
