📋 Description

• As the first communications hire at Viktor, you will build the entire communications function from the ground up, shaping how the company tells its story to the world and ensuring the narrative aligns with the product’s real-world impact in AI-powered work automation.
• You will own the narrative by clarifying what Viktor stands for, managing press relationships, placing stories in key outlets, drafting founder communications, and handling crisis comms with speed and honesty — all while working closely with co-founders to amplify their voices strategically.
• Viktor is a fast-moving, remote-first AI startup building an AI coworker that integrates with Slack and Teams to replace parts of the SaaS stack; the team is small, high-trust, and operates with low process, where you’ll ship impact in your first week and talk to users on day one.
• You will gain ownership of a strategic function at a pivotal moment, learning how to scale comms in a high-growth tech environment, shape founder messaging, and earn credibility in the AI beat — with the chance to define how the market perceives an emerging category.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of communications experience, with at least 3 years leading PR at a high-growth startup or in-house at a tech company that punched above its weight
• Established, genuine relationships with reporters in the AI, developer tools, or enterprise software beats — people who respond when you call
• Exceptional writing ability: produces clear, fast drafts and knows how to refine technical ideas into compelling, editor-ready sentences
