- • Assists sales account managers and product specialists in meeting or exceeding sales quotas by providing technical and scientific expertise on liquid chromatography (LC) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LCMS) within the Greater Bay Area.
- • Contributes to sales account planning and actively participates in the sales process from initial deal qualification through to final deal closure.
- • Owns the technical closure of deals, ensuring customer technical requirements are fully addressed and satisfied prior to purchase.
- • Responsible for meeting individual sales targets and supporting the broader sales organization in achieving its objectives.
- • Maintains in-depth knowledge of competitive products and identifies lockout specifications to highlight Agilent’s competitive advantages.
- • Analyzes customer requirements and recommends tailored LC and LCMS solutions that align with their scientific and operational needs.
- • Collaborates with the sales team to develop and implement technical sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- • Evaluates and supports management in assessing ramp-to-volume strategies for new products prior to market release.
- • Conducts live product demonstrations to showcase Agilent’s instrumentation, enhancing customer experience and satisfaction.
- • Provides training to internal sales teams on product capabilities, technical features, and application best practices.
- • Acts as the customer voice within Agilent, influencing future product and application design by translating customer feedback into actionable insights.
- • Writes application briefs to clearly articulate product capabilities and value propositions for internal and external use.
- • Prepares and delivers technical seminars to customers and potential clients, including presentations at recognized scientific forums through written papers, oral talks, and poster sessions.
- • May contribute to post-sales activities to ensure ongoing customer success and retention.
- • Must consent to and complete all Agilent-approved customer and vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of identification, certifications, and adherence to customer site health and safety protocols.
- • Travel is required up to 50% of the time to support customer engagements across the Greater Bay Area.
- • Works remotely with a full-time weekly schedule and operates on a day shift.
- • Reports to the Sales function with a primary focus on pre-sales technical engagement and customer technical validation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent in a scientific field
- • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in LC, LCMS, or related analytical instrumentation
- • Fluency in both English and Cantonese
- • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- • Must pass Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements
- • Experience in a pre-sales or application engineering role within life sciences or analytical instrumentation
