- • As a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect at MongoDB, you will be at the forefront of technological innovation, guiding customers in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and reliable systems leveraging MongoDB's powerful data platform. This pivotal role sits within our Scaled Growth organization, where your expertise will directly contribute to customer success and drive business forward.
- • You will act as a trusted advisor to a diverse range of enterprise organizations across the Americas, translating complex business challenges into elegant technical solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure strong technical alignment between MongoDB's platform capabilities and the evolving needs of our customers, fostering deep and lasting relationships.
- • A significant part of your role will involve collaborating closely with sales executives and the broader Field Solutions Architecture team. You will be instrumental in winning deals by demonstrating how MongoDB can solve critical business problems, making you a key player in the company's growth trajectory.
- • Your day-to-day will involve a blend of deep technical work and client-facing engagement. You will design and architect scalable and performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects, with a specific focus on leveraging MongoDB's capabilities.
- • You will guide customers through complex architecture patterns and optimization strategies, ensuring they derive maximum value from MongoDB. Crucially, you will articulate this value not just to technical teams but also to business stakeholders, bridging the gap between technology and business outcomes.
- • In partnership with the sales team, you will drive account success through strategic account planning, opportunity prioritization, and pipeline generation. You will own the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including conducting technical discovery sessions, delivering compelling product demonstrations, leading proof-of-value initiatives, presenting solutions, performing system sizing, and preparing detailed technical documentation.
- • Beyond specific deals, you will proactively generate demand within your assigned sales territory. This involves self-driven technical initiatives, active participation in industry trade shows, and engagement in account-based marketing events, positioning yourself and MongoDB as thought leaders.
- • Fostering strong customer relationships is paramount. You will build champions within client organizations and ensure their ongoing success and satisfaction with MongoDB solutions, acting as their primary technical advocate.
- • Continuous innovation and improvement are core to this role. You will actively seek opportunities to enhance MongoDB solutions and internal processes, often by relaying valuable field feedback to the product team. You will also contribute to the growth of your colleagues by proactively mentoring other Solutions Consulting team members.
- • To excel in this role, you will engage in ongoing training and professional development, staying abreast of the latest advancements in the MongoDB product suite and broader industry trends. This includes mastering MongoDB's core database server, advanced features, Atlas (fully managed cloud database service), Atlas Stream Processing, Atlas Data Lake, Atlas Full-Text Search, Atlas Vector Search, Charts, and the Relational Migrator.
- • You will also deepen your expertise in market-relevant technologies, including the hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) and complementary technologies like Apache Kafka and Kubernetes. A significant focus will be on modern architecture design, including microservices, DevOps, cloud-native principles, and security best practices, with a particular emphasis on cutting-edge RAG and AI architectures to support customers on their generative AI journeys.
- • Furthermore, you will hone your sales techniques and soft skills, mastering effective communication through presentations, demonstrations, and whiteboarding. You will develop sophisticated strategies for client interaction, including effective discovery and objection handling.
- • This role offers unparalleled exposure to diverse market verticals, allowing you to gain insights into a broad spectrum of interesting use cases across various industries, enriching your understanding of real-world business challenges and solutions.
- • The position is based remotely in São Paulo or Mexico City, offering flexibility while requiring professional proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
