Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer for Europe at Deepgram, you will serve as the critical technical bridge between sales and engineering, driving complex technical evaluations and solution design for strategic enterprise accounts across EMEA. Your role is pivotal in converting voice AI opportunities into production deployments by translating business goals into measurable technical success criteria, ensuring customers can confidently adopt Deepgram’s platform for real-time speech-to-text, text-to-speech, and voice agent applications.
- • You will lead technical discovery for high-value opportunities, mapping customer business objectives to specific technical outcomes and evaluation plans. This includes designing, scoping, and executing proof-of-concepts (POCs) that demonstrate clear value through defined datasets, success metrics, and timelines. You will build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations, and live demos using Deepgram’s SDKs and APIs to show, not tell, how our voice-native foundation models solve real-world problems.
- • You will advise on solution architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost, covering cloud, self-hosted, hybrid, and data residency models. This includes running security and compliance threads for EMEA-specific requirements such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and vendor risk reviews, preparing crisp, well-documented responses to unblock enterprise evaluations.
- • You will triage and debug technical issues during evaluations, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to resolve blockers quickly. You will create reusable assets—such as reference architectures, runbooks, field guides, and sample code—to scale knowledge and accelerate future engagements across the region.
- • You will partner with Solutions Architects and Support to ensure seamless continuity post-win, staying involved through expansion phases when needed. You will also enable the broader field by collaborating with Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, and partners on positioning, demos, and technical validation for priority use cases, ensuring consistent messaging and technical readiness.
- • You will operate from an EMEA time zone with strong overlap to customer business hours, requiring excellent written and spoken English. Additional European language skills are a strong plus, and you must be familiar with procurement, InfoSec, and data privacy expectations across the region, including GDPR and data residency mandates.
- • In your first 90 days, you will ramp on Deepgram’s product surface area, APIs, SDKs, and evaluation methodology, shadowing strategic discovery and POC calls while triaging low-risk tickets. By day 60, you will own two end-to-end evaluations, serve as the named technical partner for one or two strategic Account Executives, and deliver a live demo that becomes a reusable regional asset. By day 90, you will act as the primary pre-sales technical owner for multiple opportunities, close at least one complex technical win with measurable revenue impact, lead a customer architecture workshop, and convert repeated ticket patterns into accelerators or runbooks.
- • You will thrive here if you enjoy the balance of customer conversations and hands-on building, can fluidly move from whiteboard to working code, communicate effectively with both executives and engineers, value speed with rigor and crisp documentation, and enjoy winning collaboratively across regions and functions.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5 or more years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role focused on pre-sales.
- • Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Rust, with ability to build POCs and tools that real users run.
- • Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, including comfort with Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals, and secure API design.
- • Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and earning the technical win.
- • Clear written and verbal communication across both technical and executive audiences.
- • Experience with speech recognition, TTS, voice quality analysis, or AI agents that orchestrate LLMs (preferred).
- • Familiarity with telephony and real-time media concepts such as SIP, WebRTC, streaming, and WebSocket integrations (preferred).
- • Experience with self-hosted and hybrid deployments, including Helm-based installs and production observability (preferred).
- • Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data residency topics in EMEA enterprise reviews (preferred).
- • Fluency in an additional European language such as German, French, Dutch, Italian, or Spanish (preferred).
🏖️ Benefits
- • Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- • Annual wellness stipend and mental health support
- • Life, STD, and LTD income insurance plans
- • Unlimited PTO and generous paid parental leave
- • Flexible schedule and 12 paid US company holidays
- • Quarterly personal productivity stipend and one-time home office upgrade stipend
- • 401(k) plan with company match and tax savings programs
- • Learning/education stipend, participation in talks and conferences, employee resource groups, and AI enablement workshops
- • Remote work across EMEA with periodic regional meetups
- • Close partnership with AEs, SAs, Product, and Engineering for continuous coverage across EMEA, Americas, and APAC
- • Shared playbooks, defined escalation paths, and measurable SLAs
