- • The Preconstruction Manager, MEP role is critical to ServerFarm’s mission of delivering high-performance, sustainable data center infrastructure at scale, directly supporting the company’s 4x growth target over the next four years by ensuring mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems are fully designed and coordinated before construction begins.
- • Day to day, the individual will lead MEP preconstruction planning, collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop detailed MEP layouts and specifications, conduct constructability reviews, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, manage MEP-related RFIs and submittals, ensure compliance with industry standards and local codes, and support cost estimating and value engineering efforts for data center projects across North America, Western Europe, and Israel.
- • The team operates within ServerFarm’s innovative infrastructure division, working closely with project managers, design engineers, and construction leads to deliver mission-critical facilities for hyperscale and technology clients using the award-winning InCommand platform, all under the strategic backing of Manulife Investment Management.
- • In this role, the individual will develop advanced expertise in data center MEP systems, gain experience with large-scale modular and mission-critical construction, strengthen cross-functional leadership and coordination skills, and contribute to cutting-edge, sustainable infrastructure projects that power global digital transformation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- • 5+ years of experience in MEP design, coordination, or preconstruction for data centers, mission-critical facilities, or commercial construction
- • Proficiency in MEP coordination tools such as Revit, Navisworks, or AutoCAD
- • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in high-density computing environments
- • Experience with data center standards including TIA-942, ASHRAE, and NEC
- • Ability to read and interpret complex MEP schematics and construction documents
