- • Join the NEC Software Solutions Revenues & Benefits, Central Government (RBCG) team as a Presales Consultant and become the go-to authority for NEC’s market-leading Council Tax, Non-Domestic Rates (NDR), Business Improvement Districts (BID) and Citizen Access solutions. You will sit at the intersection of sales, product and consultancy, translating complex local-government requirements into compelling, tailored demonstrations that win new business and deepen existing relationships.
- • Own the full presales lifecycle—from first discovery call to signed contract—by partnering with sales directors, bid managers and technical consultants to craft winning proposals, RFP responses and solution designs. You will map statutory regulations, policy nuances and citizen-experience goals to NEC functionality, ensuring every prospect sees exactly how our software will transform their revenues service.
- • Deliver polished, story-driven demonstrations both remotely and on-site to audiences ranging from revenues managers and finance directors to elected members and citizen focus groups. You will switch seamlessly between high-level strategic overviews and deep-dive feature tours, always anchoring the conversation in measurable outcomes such as collection-rate uplift, fraud reduction and digital self-service adoption.
- • Maintain and continuously enhance our demonstration environments. After every product release you will refresh pre-sales databases, configure new modules, script test scenarios and document “golden pathways” so the entire presales bench can replicate your success. Your environments will be battle-tested, regulation-compliant and rich with realistic data sets that mirror each prospect’s unique caseload mix.
- • Act as the recognised subject-matter expert for all things revenues. Field ad-hoc questions from prospects, bid writers and internal delivery teams; distil legislative changes into plain-English guidance; and publish quick-start guides, FAQs and best-practice blogs that amplify your expertise across the business.
- • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships that extend well beyond the initial sale. Capture success stories, metrics and testimonials that feed marketing campaigns, conference presentations and case-study libraries. Your voice will be heard in product road-mapping sessions, ensuring market feedback directly influences future development priorities.
- • Champion continuous learning within the presales community. Run fortnightly knowledge-shares, mentor junior consultants and curate an internal wiki of objection-handling techniques, demo scripts and competitive battlecards. Your influence will raise the bar for the entire RBCG presales function.
- • Travel across the UK as needed (average 1–2 days per fortnight) to support critical pitches, user-group events and industry conferences.
