📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain scalable customer data platforms that unify data from multiple sources including CRM, billing, app usage, and third-party integrations to create a single source of truth for customer behavior.
• Architect data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load high-volume customer data with high reliability and low latency, using modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, and Fivetran.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and growth teams to define key customer metrics, build automated dashboards, and deliver actionable insights that directly influence product roadmap and user acquisition strategies.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer data models, ensuring data quality, consistency, and governance across all touchpoints in the customer journey.
• Implement data validation and monitoring frameworks to detect anomalies, data drift, and pipeline failures in real-time, reducing downstream impact on business decisions.
• Work closely with engineering teams to integrate customer data collection points into mobile apps and web platforms, ensuring accurate tracking of user interactions across 200+ countries and regions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data infrastructure, balancing scalability, cost-efficiency, and compliance with global data privacy regulations.
• Lead initiatives to improve data accessibility by creating self-service analytics tools and documentation that empower non-technical teams to explore and act on customer data independently.
• Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and platforms to enhance the capabilities of Airalo’s data ecosystem, with a focus on automation, observability, and performance.
• Mentor junior data engineers and collaborate with the broader Data team to establish best practices in data architecture, pipeline design, and operational excellence.
• Ensure data infrastructure supports real-time personalization and segmentation use cases critical to retaining and engaging global travelers.
• Participate in cross-functional sprint planning, backlog grooming, and incident response to maintain high availability and reliability of customer data systems.
• Document all data models, pipeline dependencies, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity across distributed teams.
• Advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization by presenting insights to leadership and demonstrating measurable business impact from data initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience building and scaling customer data platforms in high-growth SaaS or tech companies
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt, Fivetran)
• Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance
• Experience working with mobile app analytics and event tracking (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude)
• Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote, cross-functional environment
