- • As the Principal, Discipline Lead for Audiovisual at Teecom Corporation, you will embody the pinnacle of technical expertise and leadership within our esteemed Engineering Team. This pivotal role is dedicated to elevating our firm's capabilities by establishing and championing advanced discipline standards, refining best practices, enhancing documentation, delivering comprehensive training, and ensuring unparalleled design quality across all our projects. Your influence will be instrumental in mitigating firmwide risks, fortifying our project delivery processes, and guaranteeing that our systems are robust and scalable to meet future demands.
- • You will lead by example, leveraging your profound expertise and exceptional clarity to set the strategic direction for how the Audiovisual discipline is practiced. This involves guiding intricate design decisions, upholding rigorous quality standards across diverse teams and projects, and serving as the ultimate subject matter expert for all Audiovisual-related matters within the firm.
- • Your responsibilities will extend to providing critical judgment on complex design challenges, meticulously conducting design reviews and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) assessments, and proactively supporting project teams with insightful early-stage guidance. You will be at the forefront of shaping Teecom’s technical excellence through the development of comprehensive standards, streamlined workflows, reusable templates, and authoritative documentation that our project teams can depend on. A key aspect of your role will be ensuring the consistent and effective application of these established systems across the entire organization.
- • Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in our business development efforts by contributing to pursuit strategies, ensuring that new projects commence with strong technical alignment from the outset. This includes conducting thorough code and product research, adeptly resolving complex interdisciplinary coordination issues, and diligently maintaining and updating Teecom’s design standards, templates, and our GitHub repository.
- • A significant part of your mandate will be to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth throughout the firm. You will achieve this by leading and developing comprehensive training programs for the Audiovisual discipline, mentoring junior engineers and production team members, and actively contributing to the creation and refinement of scalable technical learning systems. Your efforts will empower our teams to stay at the cutting edge of Audiovisual technology and design.

- • You will also be involved in the development and refinement of our proposal and presentation materials, lending your technical authority to showcase Teecom's capabilities and expertise in the Audiovisual domain to potential clients.
- • Ultimately, your leadership will define the benchmark for Audiovisual design excellence at Teecom, driving innovation, ensuring client satisfaction, and solidifying our reputation as a premier engineering consultancy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive and demonstrable experience in Audiovisual systems design, including but not limited to, conferencing systems, presentation systems, audio systems, video systems, control systems, and network infrastructure for AV.
- • Proven track record of leading technical teams, developing design standards, and implementing best practices within an engineering or consulting environment.
- • Deep understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and product technologies (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Cisco, Poly, Dante, AVIXA standards).
- • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences and mentor junior staff.
