  • • As a Principal Executive Recruiter at Babylist, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our leadership team by owning and executing the most critical and complex executive searches across the organization.
  • • This role is pivotal for Babylist's growth trajectory, particularly as we expand into new verticals and build out leadership for these nascent business lines. You will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and closing Director through C-suite level talent.
  • • You will operate as a strategic thought partner to the executive team, moving beyond a traditional support function to actively influence hiring strategies, define role requirements, and craft compelling narratives that resonate with top-tier executive candidates.
  • • A key aspect of this role involves navigating ambiguity. Many searches will commence with undefined scopes, evolving organizational contexts, and a lack of established benchmarks. Your ability to bring clarity, define role parameters, and build comprehensive market maps will be essential.
  • • You will independently lead the entire search lifecycle, from initial intake and market analysis to candidate engagement, assessment, and final offer negotiation.
  • • This position demands a proactive and independent approach, requiring you to build detailed market maps, competitive landscapes, and candidate theses without the direct support of a research team.
  • • Proficiency in essential recruiting tools is expected, including advanced utilization of LinkedIn Recruiter for strategic sourcing, Greenhouse for ATS management and pipeline reporting, and Gem for outreach sequencing and campaign management.
  • • You will be an expert in executive total rewards, independently structuring, benchmarking, and negotiating comprehensive compensation packages. This includes base salary, short-term and long-term incentives, equity grants, and pre-IPO value modeling, with the ability to effectively communicate this value proposition to candidates.
  • • A strong executive presence is crucial. You will confidently lead calibration sessions, provide respectful yet firm pushback based on market realities, and advise senior leaders with a high degree of trust and credibility.
  • • You will also manage relationships with external search firms, understanding when to engage them, how to hold them accountable for performance, and how to course-correct when necessary, while simultaneously building Babylist's internal executive search capabilities.
  • • This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, growth-stage environments where roles can be fluid, benchmarks may be nascent, and ambiguity is an inherent part of the process.
  • • You will maintain a high editorial standard for all candidate-facing and internal materials, leveraging AI to enhance efficiency in market mapping and competitive intelligence, but ensuring all final communications are sharp, human, and reflect your distinct professional voice.
  • • Your impact will be measured by your ability to successfully close high-stakes searches, bring clarity to complex hiring needs, and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, ultimately helping to build the leadership bench that will define Babylist's next chapter.
  • • You will be responsible for elevating the candidate experience at every touchpoint, ensuring that all executives interacting with Babylist, regardless of the search outcome, are left with a strong and positive impression of the company.
  • • Furthermore, you will contribute to building a sustainable internal executive search function, reducing reliance on external agencies over time and establishing best practices within the organization.
