- • As a Principal Full-Stack Engineer, Ops Tools at Vay, you will build mission-critical software that powers real-world operations for the company’s driverless vehicle service in Las Vegas, directly enabling the scaling of a first-of-its-kind remote driving technology that moves actual cars on public roads.
- • You will translate complex operational workflows into reliable, user-facing software for Customer Support, Remote Driving Operations, and Fleet Management, designing end-to-end integrated solutions using off-the-shelf tools, low-code platforms, and custom development where needed.
- • You will build and maintain real-time, interactive operational dashboards with charts, maps, and data-dense interfaces, and iterate on operator-first UX grounded in real operational processes and continuous feedback from end users.
- • You will work closely with Operations, Customer Support, and Product teams to ship tools that are actively used in daily operations, owning your work from first commit through production and iteration, with high ownership and real impact on the scaling of Vay’s service.
- • You will join a global, mission-driven team backed by a $410M strategic investment from Grab, working in Las Vegas to expand a cleaner, faster, door-to-door mobility model that aims to replace private car ownership, with relocation support provided if needed.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong full-stack depth with proven experience in modern frontend development using React and TypeScript.
- • Hands-on experience building backend services and APIs, including RESTful API design, authentication and authorization, and secure API integrations.
- • Solid understanding of relational databases, including data modeling, transactions, indexing, and querying.
- • Experience working with design systems to build consistent, scalable interfaces.
- • Ability to translate complex, high-stakes workflows into clear, efficient, and error-resistant user experiences.
- • Comfortable working closely with non-engineering stakeholders in Operations, Customer Support, and Product.
