  • • As a Principal Medical Writer at Precision AQ, you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering high-impact medical education programs that empower healthcare professionals and ultimately improve patient outcomes. This senior role is pivotal in leading scientific content development, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, clarity, and strategic alignment across diverse therapeutic areas. You will be a key contributor to our award-winning medical communications agency, dedicated to making life-changing medicines accessible to all.
  • • You will spearhead the creation of scientifically rigorous and engaging medical education materials. This includes, but is not limited to, developing content for symposia, advisory boards, interactive workshops, slide decks, manuscripts, and digital learning modules. Your expertise will transform complex scientific data and clinical insights into compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences, including physicians, researchers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • • A core aspect of this role involves providing scientific leadership and strategic direction for medical education projects. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including account managers, project managers, and creative specialists, to ensure that all content is scientifically sound, clinically relevant, and meets the strategic objectives of our clients. This requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare landscape, as well as the ability to anticipate future trends and educational needs.
  • • You will be responsible for overseeing the quality and scientific integrity of content produced by the medical writing team. This includes reviewing and editing the work of junior writers, providing constructive feedback, and mentoring them to enhance their skills and professional development. Your leadership will foster a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration within the team.
  • • Partnering closely with clients is essential. You will serve as a trusted scientific advisor, building strong relationships and understanding their evolving needs. This involves actively participating in client meetings, presenting scientific strategies, and ensuring that our deliverables consistently exceed expectations. Your ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly and persuasively will be crucial in these interactions.
  • • This role also extends to contributing to new business development. You will play an active role in developing proposals, participating in pitch meetings, and articulating Precision AQ's capabilities in medical education and communications. Your insights and experience will be invaluable in securing new projects and expanding our client base.
  • • You will engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights, validate content, and ensure the highest level of scientific accuracy and clinical relevance. This requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with leading experts in their respective fields.
  • • Staying abreast of the latest scientific advancements, clinical trial data, and regulatory guidelines within your areas of expertise is paramount. You will leverage this knowledge to inform content development and provide strategic recommendations to clients and internal teams.
  • • The Principal Medical Writer will contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal processes, tools, and best practices for medical education content development, ensuring that Precision AQ remains at the forefront of the industry.
  • • This is a fully remote position based in the United Kingdom, offering the flexibility to work from home while collaborating with a dynamic and globally distributed team. 🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 7 years of experience in medical writing, with a significant focus on medical education content development (e.g., symposia, advisory boards, workshops, slide decks).
  • • Proven expertise in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: oncology, neurology, infectious diseases, immunology, or rare diseases.
  • • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, medical communications, and the regulatory environment governing medical education.
  • • Excellent scientific writing, editing, and critical appraisal skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • • Experience in mentoring junior writers and providing scientific leadership.
