📋 Description

• As a Principal Product Manager for Acquisition Products at ButterflyMX, you will own the product strategy and execution for a new product area that bridges consumer and operator experiences in property access technology, directly impacting how people open and manage doors & gates from smartphones across 20,000+ properties worldwide.
• You will take ownership of the product roadmap, stress-test assumptions, define end-to-end experiences for both residents and property managers, identify AI-driven automation opportunities to reduce friction, navigate complex third-party integrations, conduct user discovery, and establish key metrics to drive accountability and improvement.
• ButterflyMX is a distributed, remote-first company with a mission to empower seamless property access, serving multifamily, commercial, gated communities, and student housing through innovative, trust-based products that lower operating costs and improve tenant satisfaction, guided by values of customer delight, ownership, collaboration, speaking up, thinking big, and tenacity.
• In this role, you will sharpen your expertise in B2B2C product strategy, AI-native product thinking, funnel optimization, and cross-functional leadership while building trusted, high-stakes experiences that combine consumer intuition with operational rigor in a fast-growing proptech environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in product management with a track record of owning products from concept to market, including experience inheriting early-stage work and making it better
• Funnel and conversion fluency: you think in terms of acquisition, activation, and drop-off. You know how to identify where a journey breaks down and what it takes to fix it
• Consumer UX instincts for high-stakes decisions: you understand that some experiences require more than ease of use. They require trust, clarity, and confidence at every step
• Deep familiarity with AI-driven communication and workflow automation: you understand where these systems create value, where they create risk, and how to deploy them responsibly in products where real people are making real decisions
• B2B2C fluency: you have experience building products where the end user and the buyer are different people, and you know how to serve both without compromising either
• Integration-savviness: you have navigated complex third-party ecosystems and understand the product tradeoffs that come with depending on external platforms and data
