📋 Description

• As a Principal Product Manager for Enterprise Foundations at Zip, you will own the core platform capabilities that underpin trust, security, identity, permissions, insights, and foundational UI components—directly enabling Zip to serve the world’s most demanding enterprise customers while ensuring scalability, compliance, and innovation across the product suite.
• You will lead the authentication and security roadmap, defining and delivering critical enterprise-grade features such as MFA, step-up MFA, Multi-IdP SSO, IP restrictions, anomaly detection, and account takeover prevention, ensuring Zip meets the highest standards of security and governance required by Fortune 500 and AI-native enterprises.
• You will define and drive strategy for Zip’s data governance, reporting, and insights capabilities, shaping how data is modeled, secured, and presented to customers through BI tools and data warehouses, enabling actionable intelligence at scale.
• You will own enterprise-grade permissions and access controls (RBAC/ABAC), designing systems that are clear, auditable, and scalable for complex organizational structures, partnering with GTM and Customer Teams to unblock high-ARR deals by addressing regional hosting, multi-cell architectures, dedicated customer cells, and BYOK/FedRAMP-adjacent requirements.
• You will lead Zip’s design system and component library roadmap, collaborating with Design and Frontend Platform teams to deliver shared, performant, and accessible components for web and mobile, significantly improving developer velocity and product consistency.
• You will collaborate deeply with engineering to translate complex technical constraints into clear product decisions, providing direction, making tradeoffs, and ensuring high-quality delivery of foundational capabilities that serve as the bedrock for all product experiences at Zip.
• You will join a world-class team of former leaders from Airbnb, Meta, Stripe, Salesforce, Apple, and Google, working in a hybrid model (3 days/week in downtown San Francisco) to build cutting-edge technology in a $50B+ TAM space, backed by $370M in funding and a $2.2B valuation, where your work directly impacts how enterprises like OpenAI, Snowflake, Anthropic, Coinbase, and JPMorgan Chase manage billions in spend.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in enterprise platform product management, security architecture, data governance, and infrastructure-adjacent product strategy, positioning yourself as a strategic leader in the rapidly evolving procurement and enterprise software landscape while driving measurable impact on customer trust, compliance, and product velocity.

🎯 Requirements

• 4-8+ years of Product Management experience with substantial work on platform, security, identity/auth, RBAC/permissions, data residency and governance, or infrastructure-adjacent products.
• Strong understanding of SSO/SAML, OAuth, MFA, and broader enterprise authentication patterns, with hands-on experience implementing or managing these systems in B2B SaaS environments.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts including multi-cell architectures, regional deployments, multi-tenant models, and isolation patterns, plus proven ability to partner effectively with Infrastructure Engineering on architectural decisions.
• Strong data literacy with experience using BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.) and shaping data modeling and presentation to customers, including hands-on work with data warehouses and ETL/ELT tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Fivetran).
• High technical fluency with the ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear product decisions, coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse technical and non-technical audiences, including enterprise customers.
• Bias to action, comfort with ambiguity, and demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment, with a track record of delivering impact in high-growth, innovative companies.
