Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for ButterflyMX’s mobile product experience, evaluating existing scope, stress-testing assumptions, and evolving strategy based on user insights and market feedback.
- • Conduct rigorous product discovery by directly engaging with property managers, developers, and tenants to understand pain points, synthesize qualitative data, and translate insights into clear product direction.
- • Embed AI into the mobile product experience as a core lever for improving operational efficiency and user satisfaction—not as a checkbox feature, but as an integrated intelligence layer that enhances decision-making and automation.
- • Make strategic decisions on build versus partner versus white-label solutions, balancing innovation, scalability, and resource constraints to maximize impact.
- • Define and own key performance metrics for mobile product success, holding yourself accountable to outcomes that drive tenant engagement, operational efficiency, and customer retention.
- • Collaborate closely with Design and Engineering teams to iterate on solutions, ensuring alignment between user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
- • Prototype and explore product ideas using available tools to rapidly validate concepts, close the loop between specification and implementation, and demonstrate feasibility before full-scale development.
- • Communicate product vision and priorities clearly across engineering, design, go-to-market, and leadership teams through compelling writing, presentations, and trusted influence without formal authority.
- • Lead the mobile experience for a new and growing business area that serves both property operators and end-user residents within the same ecosystem, navigating the dual needs of buyers and end users.
- • Challenge existing assumptions about the product with curiosity and rigor, bringing fresh perspectives while building on existing momentum in a fast-moving, early-stage product domain.
- • Stay current on advancements in AI capabilities and apply practical, real-world knowledge to discovery, design, and prioritization conversations to ensure AI delivers genuine value.
- • Drive product decisions with a builder’s mindset: actively tinker, test, and iterate rather than relying solely on documentation or delegation.
- • Balance strategic thinking with execution discipline, ensuring that big ideas are broken into small, testable initiatives that deliver measurable impact.
- • Operate effectively in ambiguity with incomplete information, making confident, data-informed decisions in the absence of a fully defined playbook.
- • Ensure the mobile product experience is intuitive, sticky, and deeply aligned with consumer app standards—prioritizing usability, retention, and seamless interaction for smartphone-first users.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years in product management with a track record of owning products from concept to market
- • Mobile-first instincts: you think in mobile experiences natively, understand what makes a consumer app sticky, and have shipped products people use on their phones
- • Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage product challenges: you can operate with a partial playbook, fill in the gaps, and make confident decisions with incomplete information
- • Strong discovery discipline: you know how to get close to customers, synthesize qualitative signal, and translate it into a clear product direction
- • AI-native thinking: you approach product problems by asking how intelligent systems can improve the experience, not by adding AI as an afterthought. You stay current on what the technology can actually do, and you bring that knowledge into discovery, design, and prioritization conversations
- • A builder’s mindset: you don’t just write specs and hand them off. You prototype, tinker, use the tools available to you today to explore ideas quickly, and you close the loop between what you ask engineering to build and how it actually works
