Principal Program Manager

📋 Description

• • Own the end-to-end program lifecycle including scope, schedule, milestones, risk management, dependencies, and measurable success metrics for complex programs critical to Autodesk’s consulting strategy
• • Bring clarity and structure to in-flight or undefined programs by aligning cross-functional stakeholders on scope, priorities, and success metrics
• • Frame critical decisions by outlining options, implications, and recommending actionable paths forward to unblock work and accelerate progress
• • Proactively identify risks and opportunities, escalating with thoughtful mitigation plans and proposed actions to ensure program continuity
• • Define and manage comprehensive program communication and stakeholder engagement plans to maintain visibility and alignment across global teams
• • Deliver clear, executive-ready reporting and summaries that communicate program progress, risks, outcomes, and strategic recommendations to Director- and VP-level stakeholders
• • Influence without direct authority by building trust, aligning stakeholders around shared goals, and navigating competing priorities to drive alignment and momentum
• • Coach and develop a team of program and project managers, providing guidance, supporting capability development, and ensuring consistent application of program standards and best practices
• • Establish and maintain effective program governance and operating cadences including executive reviews, stakeholder updates, and decision-making forums
• • Operate with high ownership in ambiguous environments, quickly establishing structure and momentum with minimal direction
• • Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, comfortable operating at both the detailed tactical level and the broader organizational context
• • Partner closely with senior leaders to enable alignment, accelerate decision-making, and connect program outcomes to Autodesk’s broader business objectives
• • Travel up to 25% as required to support program execution and stakeholder engagements
• • Apply strong program management discipline while navigating complexity, ambiguity, and competing stakeholder demands to deliver measurable business impact
• • Drive program execution in a hybrid/remote environment while maintaining high performance and team cohesion across virtual teams
• • Ensure program success metrics are defined, tracked, and reported to inform senior leadership decision-making and organizational strategy
