- • Lead, build, and scale a high-performing team of thermal and thermo-mechanical engineers focused on customer engagement and platform adoption across Europe.
- • Drive the technical evaluation of Vinci’s platform by supporting simulation setup, running test cases, and interpreting results for prospective customers in semiconductor, electronics packaging, and wafer-scale systems.
- • Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams to understand their thermal and mechanical design challenges, providing expert guidance on steady-state and transient thermal behavior, linear and nonlinear mechanics, geometric and material nonlinearities, and contact interactions.
- • Deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technical workshops to showcase how Vinci’s AI-driven platform improves product design, thermal performance, reliability, and time-to-market.
- • Support customer onboarding and production deployments by offering ongoing technical training, troubleshooting, and workflow integration assistance.
- • Serve as a key feedback channel between customers and Vinci’s product and engineering teams, translating real-world use cases into actionable product improvements.
- • Represent Vinci at industry conferences and semiconductor events through live demonstrations, booth engagement, and technical networking with prospects and partners.
- • Maintain deep expertise in commercial simulation tools such as Flowtherm, Cadence, Ansys, Abaqus, and LS-DYNA to validate customer designs and benchmark platform performance.
- • Analyze critical reliability factors including thermal risk, warpage, stress evolution, and mechanical deformation across advanced semiconductor devices and packaging architectures.
- • Work closely with the Sales team to align technical engagements with business objectives and accelerate the sales cycle through technical credibility and customer trust.
- • Travel moderately within continental Europe and occasionally intercontinentally to collaborate with the Palo Alto, CA-based Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
- • Be onsite several days per week in Munich to collaborate on joint programs with a world-leading research institute.
- • Stay current on competitive technologies, industry trends, and market positioning to effectively articulate Vinci’s unique value proposition in physics AI for hardware design.
- • Mentor junior engineers in thermal-mechanical simulation best practices, technical communication, and customer-facing engineering methodologies.
- • Develop and deliver technical training materials to enable customer teams to independently adopt and scale Vinci’s platform within their design workflows.
- • Apply scripting skills in Python or C++ to automate simulation workflows, analyze large datasets, and enhance platform usability for customer applications.
🎯 Requirements
- • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
- • 15+ years of hands-on experience with thermal management, mechanical warpage, stress, and reliability using commercial software such as Flowtherm, Cadence, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, etc.
- • Scripting experience using Python or C++
- • Prior managerial or leadership experience
- • Prior experience in customer-facing roles
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
