Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Lead, build, and scale a high-performing team of thermal and thermo-mechanical engineers focused on customer engagement and platform adoption across Asia Pacific.
  • • Drive the technical evaluation of Vinci’s AI-powered simulation platform by supporting customer simulation setups, running test cases, and interpreting results to demonstrate improvements in thermal performance, mechanical reliability, and time-to-market.
  • • Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams to understand their design challenges in semiconductor devices, electronics packages, and wafer-scale systems, providing expert guidance on steady-state and transient thermal behavior, linear and nonlinear mechanics, geometric/material nonlinearities, and contact interactions.
  • • Deliver product demonstrations, proof-of-concept evaluations, and technical workshops to prospective customers, translating complex physics-based analyses into clear value propositions for both technical and business audiences.
  • • Support customer onboarding and production deployments by providing ongoing technical training, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization for Vinci’s platform within customer engineering environments.
  • • Serve as a critical feedback channel between customers and Vinci’s product and engineering teams, translating real-world pain points—such as thermal risk, warpage, and stress evolution—into actionable product improvements.
  • • Represent Vinci at industry conferences and semiconductor events through live demonstrations, booth engagement, and technical networking with prospects and partners.
  • • Maintain deep awareness of competitive simulation tools (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Cadence, Flowtherm) and industry trends in semiconductor packaging, advanced packaging, 2.5D/3D IC, and EDA workflows to articulate Vinci’s unique differentiators.
  • • Work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams in Palo Alto, CA, to align customer insights with product roadmap priorities and technical development.
  • • Conduct on-site engagements several days per week at customer locations in Seoul, South Korea, with moderate travel required across Asia and occasional intercontinental travel to the U.S. for collaboration.
  • • Mentor junior engineers on best practices in thermal-mechanical simulation, physics-based modeling, and customer-facing technical communication.
  • • Evaluate critical reliability factors including thermal stress, warpage, and material deformation across advanced semiconductor architectures using Vinci’s AI-enhanced simulation platform.
  • • Enable customer teams to independently adopt and scale Vinci’s tools by developing and delivering tailored training programs and documentation.
  • • Stay current with emerging AI-assisted design methodologies and integrate them into customer-facing workflows to enhance adoption and technical credibility.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field
  • • 15+ years of hands-on experience with thermal management, mechanical warpage, stress, and reliability using commercial simulation software (e.g., Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, Cadence, Flowtherm)
  • • Scripting experience using Python or C++
  • • Prior managerial or leadership experience
  • • Prior experience in customer-facing roles
  • • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Be part of a team defining the future of AI in hardware design
  • • Work at the intersection of advanced AI, real-world engineering, and customer success
  • • Collaborate with world-class engineers and researchers in a fast-moving startup environment
  • • Moderate travel within Asia and occasional intercontinental travel to the U.S.
