- • As Procurement Manager at Business Wire, a Berkshire Hathaway company and global leader in press release distribution and regulatory disclosure, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization acquires goods and services efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Your work directly supports the company’s mission to help organizations connect with their audiences by enabling seamless operations through strategic sourcing and vendor management.
- • You will own the full source-to-pay lifecycle, leading category strategies with a strong emphasis on IT/SaaS, software renewals, and corporate services, while building the annual procurement budget, forecasting spend, and identifying risks and opportunities for executive review to support financial planning and operational resilience.
- • Day to day, you will design and implement scalable procurement processes, including intake workflows, RFP development, contract management, and maintenance of a centralized contract repository in collaboration with Legal and GRC/Risk & Security teams to ensure compliance and reduce exposure.
- • You will source and onboard vendors and suppliers, negotiate complex agreements, drive supplier performance improvements, and optimize total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing initiatives and ongoing vendor management.
- • You will manage administrative procurement functions such as generating purchase orders, tracking contract renewals and recurring purchases, coordinating with Legal on new agreements, and administering expense reporting and travel platforms to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- • You will partner cross-functionally with stakeholders across IT, Finance, Legal, and Operations to align procurement activities with business needs, improve process efficiency, and promote adherence to corporate policies and regulatory standards.
- • You will lead and mentor procurement team members, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making while building scalable systems that support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
- • In this role, you will develop deep expertise in strategic sourcing, contract lifecycle management, and vendor risk management within a high-integrity, globally recognized organization, gaining exposure to enterprise-level procurement operations backed by the stability and resources of Berkshire Hathaway.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPSM, CPSD) preferred
- • 5+ years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience, with proven success in managing IT/SaaS, software renewals, and corporate services categories
- • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end source-to-pay processes, including RFP development, contract negotiation, vendor management, and purchase order administration
- • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract law fundamentals, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR where applicable)
- • Proficiency with procurement systems, ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and contract management tools; experience with Coupa, Ariba, or similar is a plus
- • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence cross-functional teams and executive leadership
