📋 Description

• Serve as the primary point of contact for global product compliance matters across MoonPay’s digital currency platform, ensuring all products adhere to regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU, US, Canada, and Australia.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, and product teams to interpret and implement evolving AML, KYC, sanctions, and financial services regulations into product design and operational workflows.
• Conduct ongoing compliance reviews of new and existing product features, identifying potential regulatory gaps and recommending mitigations before launch.
• Maintain accurate documentation of compliance controls, audit trails, and regulatory submissions required by licensing authorities in multiple jurisdictions.
• Work closely with identity verification and fraud prevention teams to ensure customer onboarding flows meet regulatory standards for risk-based due diligence.
• Monitor regulatory developments from financial authorities including the FCA, FinCEN, FINTRAC, and ACPR, and translate implications into actionable internal policies.
• Support internal audits and external regulatory examinations by preparing evidence, coordinating responses, and ensuring timely resolution of findings.
• Partner with global operations and customer support teams to address compliance-related customer inquiries and escalations with accuracy and urgency.
• Contribute to the development of compliance training materials for internal teams to foster a culture of regulatory awareness and accountability.
• Ensure all product documentation, terms of service, and user-facing disclosures accurately reflect regulatory obligations and risk disclosures.
• Track and report on compliance KPIs including transaction screening rates, suspicious activity reporting volumes, and licensing renewal timelines.
• Act as a compliance liaison between MoonPay and third-party ecosystem partners, ensuring their integration with MoonPay’s platform meets required standards.
• Proactively identify systemic compliance risks across product lines and propose scalable solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity when handling sensitive customer and regulatory information.
• Participate in cross-functional product roadmap planning to embed compliance by design, rather than as a post-launch requirement.

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in financial services or crypto compliance, specifically with AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and regulatory licensing in the UK, EU, or US
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FCA regulations, MiCA, FinCEN guidelines, and FATF recommendations
• Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into operational requirements for product teams
• Experience working in a fast-paced, regulated fintech or crypto company with global operations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and regulatory reporting
• Detail-oriented with a track record of maintaining accurate compliance documentation and audit readiness
