Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full product-design lifecycle for GameChanger’s coach and community-facing features, from early discovery through iterative post-launch optimization on both native iOS/Android and responsive web.
- • Partner daily with Product Managers and Engineers to translate ambitious growth targets and coach pain-points into elegant, high-impact experiences that measurably improve team management, communication, and business outcomes.
- • Run lightweight but rigorous user-research sprints—recruiting coaches and parents, moderating interviews, synthesizing behavioral analytics, and turning insights into prioritized design opportunities without waiting for a dedicated research team.
- • Rapidly explore divergent concepts via sketches, wireframes, and interactive prototypes; pressure-test ideas in usability sessions; and converge on solutions that balance user delight, technical feasibility, and revenue impact.
- • Craft pixel-perfect UI and interaction specs, maintain component parity with our evolving design system, and ensure every release meets accessibility, localization, and performance standards.
- • Champion data-driven iteration: define success metrics with your PM, instrument designs, and run A/B tests that turn qualitative hunches into statistically significant wins.
- • Contribute to the broader design culture—host weekly crits, curate inspiration boards, onboard new designers, and evangelize best practices that level-up the entire product org.
- • Be the voice of the youth-sports community inside the company; attend tournaments, join coach Slack channels, and bring authentic stories back to the team so our roadmap stays grounded in real fields, dugouts, and bleachers.
- • Question inherited assumptions—whether it’s a legacy navigation pattern or an outdated monetization model—and propose bold alternatives backed by research and experimentation.
- • Mentor junior designers and interns through paired design sessions, portfolio reviews, and career-path planning, reinforcing GameChanger’s collaborative “team-first” ethos.
- • Ship at start-up speed: balance craft and pragmatism to release MVPs that delight users today while laying scalable foundations for tomorrow’s feature expansion.
- • Celebrate wins like record coach-retention numbers or viral parent-to-parent referrals, then immediately dive into the next hypothesis—because in youth sports, every season is a fresh chance to raise the game.
