  • • Lead the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution for Availity’s Intelligent Gateway product line, a critical component of the Availity provider engagement platform and payer-provider network.
  • • Drive innovation and long-term value creation for payer gateway customers, focusing on enhancing provider and vendor engagement.
  • • Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation and development to launch and ongoing management, ensuring alignment with Availity's overall business objectives and growth strategies.
  • • Process billions of real-time and batch transactions annually, connecting thousands of providers and vendor submitters to Availity’s directly connected payer network, facilitating essential healthcare transactions such as eligibility verification, benefits checks, healthcare authorizations, claims management, and provider reimbursement.
  • • Champion interoperability within healthcare standard formats and protocols, enabling seamless integration with Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Practice Management (PM) systems, revenue cycle management solutions, and other diverse healthcare entities.
  • • Deeply understand market dynamics, identifying pervasive unmet needs and collaborating closely with customers and potential clients to refine and expand existing solutions while uncovering new market growth opportunities.
  • • Develop and manage comprehensive business cases, product strategies, and roadmaps, ensuring clear articulation of value propositions and commercial viability.
  • • Take ownership of key aspects of the product portfolio's Profit and Loss (P&L), making informed decisions on investment priorities and guiding the development of new capabilities.
  • • Effectively communicate the value and impact of the Gateway product line across the organization and to external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and the broader market.
  • • Drive the go-to-market strategy for the Gateway product line, leading launch team activities and supporting sales efforts in engaging with prospects and users.
  • • Foster cross-team innovation and enterprise thinking, actively seeking opportunities for growth through product line extensions, market expansion, strategic partnerships, channel development, and operational improvements.
  • • Build and nurture a Gateway Customer Advisory Board, gathering critical market insights and feedback to inform product development and strategy.
  • • Collaborate with Market Research teams to strategize, plan, and prioritize research initiatives that identify and define opportunities for business growth and support.
  • • Define market requirements for current and future products, informed by thorough market research, direct customer engagement, and analysis of industry trends.
  • • Monitor product costs and resource commitments, providing regular reporting to internal stakeholders and senior leadership on financial status and product delivery progress.
  • • Evaluate and manage potential partners who can contribute to the successful delivery of applicable products, ensuring their alignment with Availity's strategic goals.
  • • Enhance client and user satisfaction by actively monitoring feedback (e.g., Net Promoter Score - NPS), understanding emerging issues and opportunities, and implementing effective mitigation and improvement plans.
  • • Own and communicate product metrics, progress, user experience, and operational outcomes, driving iterative improvements based on data and performance analysis.
  • • Collaborate and influence across Availity's matrix organization, aligning the activities of product, marketing, IT, sales, and service teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • • Ensure technical feasibility, architectural alignment, scalability, and performance of solutions by engaging closely with technology leaders and development teams.
  • • Represent Availity at industry and client-facing events, sharing thought leadership, highlighting the value of Intelligent Gateway products, demonstrating return on investment, and articulating a compelling vision for the innovation roadmap.
  • • Drive automation initiatives to enhance platform sophistication, scalability, and operational efficiency, ensuring the Gateway remains at the forefront of healthcare technology.
  • • Work with a dedicated team focused on improving communication and collaboration between healthcare providers and health plans, contributing to a more efficient and patient-centric healthcare system.
  • • Take on the challenge of directing activities to meet and exceed significant 5-year growth goals for a flagship product solution that reduces provider abrasion, lowers administrative costs, and facilitates innovation in provider-to-payer engagement.
  • • Apply creative problem-solving skills to address complex challenges within the healthcare technology landscape.
  • • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA, X12, and FHIR, by integrating these requirements into product development and strategy.
  • • Drive digital adoption and deliver demonstrable ROI through integrated digital solutions that streamline administrative processes and remove waste.
  • • Manage the Product Development Lifecycle, including financial performance, business case development, market/product requirements, pricing, launch materials, and client satisfaction monitoring.
  • • Utilize modern Product Discovery techniques to engage the market, surface unmet needs, and communicate product vision effectively.
  • • Build trust, respect, and durable agreements with internal and external team members, business partners, and customers through strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • • Act as a change agent, embracing and championing innovative approaches to meet customer needs and achieve market success.
