- • Own the product vision and roadmap for a core pillar of Bitly’s link-shortening and analytics platform, translating customer pain points and market opportunities into a prioritized backlog that drives measurable growth in user engagement, retention, and revenue.
- • Lead cross-functional squads of engineers, designers, data scientists, and marketers through the full product lifecycle—from discovery and ideation to launch, iteration, and sunset—ensuring every release delivers clear customer value and aligns with Bitly’s strategic OKRs.
- • Deeply understand the needs of three primary personas: enterprise marketers seeking campaign attribution, SMB owners looking for simple, powerful analytics, and developers integrating Bitly APIs into custom workflows; synthesize qualitative user interviews, quantitative usage data, and competitive intelligence into crisp problem statements and user stories.
- • Define and instrument KPIs such as link-create volume, click-through rates, paid conversion, and NPS; build dashboards in Amplitude or Tableau, review metrics weekly with leadership, and run A/B tests that move the needle at statistically significant levels.
- • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, and Support to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts, craft upsell packages, and reduce churn; translate frontline feedback into roadmap items that close competitive gaps and strengthen Bitly’s moat.
- • Champion accessibility, privacy, and security best practices across every feature, ensuring SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA compliance while delivering an inclusive experience for users of all abilities.
- • Drive go-to-market planning alongside Product Marketing: craft positioning, write launch emails, record demo videos, and enable Sales with battle cards that clearly articulate ROI and differentiation.
- • Facilitate quarterly roadmap reviews with the executive team, presenting data-backed recommendations, investment scenarios, and risk mitigations that influence company-level resource allocation.
- • Mentor associate PMs and interns, sharing frameworks for customer discovery, prioritization (RICE, Kano, MoSCoW), and stakeholder communication to scale a high-performing product culture.
- • Stay ahead of industry trends—QR code resurgence, generative AI for campaign copy, privacy-first analytics—and run rapid experiments to validate whether emerging technologies can create new revenue streams or reduce operational costs.
- • Foster a remote-first culture of transparency and psychological safety: run inclusive ceremonies, document decisions in Notion, and celebrate wins asynchronously in Slack to keep distributed teammates engaged and aligned.
- • Contribute to Bitly’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives by ensuring user research panels represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds and by advocating for inclusive design principles in every feature spec.
