Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As the founding Product Manager at Supercast, you will shape the next chapter of a platform that empowers podcast creators to build sustainable subscription businesses, reporting directly to the CEO and working with engineering, design, and creator-facing teams to launch features used by thousands of creators and hundreds of thousands of paying subscribers.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include driving the full product lifecycle—from roadmap and problem discovery to launch, communication, adoption, review, and iteration—while partnering closely with Toronto-based engineering and design teams to define priorities, ship features, and improve creator and subscriber experiences.
- • You will regularly engage with creators and subscribers to understand their behaviors, pain points, and opportunities, using product analytics, feedback, and industry research to guide decisions and identify ways to improve conversion, retention, and creator revenue through experimentation.
- • You will help define long-term product strategy as Supercast expands into new capabilities such as mobile apps, livestreaming, community tools, and newsletters, building the operating system for creator-led media businesses.
- • Supercast, now backed by Red Seat Ventures (a Fox Corp. company), is investing heavily in product expansion following its acquisition, offering a remote-first environment with team members across North America and a focus on shipping high-impact features quickly.
- • You will join a tight-knit, ambitious team where good ideas are shipped fast, ownership is real, and your work directly supports influential creators like Huberman Lab, This American Life, Peter Attia, and My Favorite Murder in growing their audiences and revenue.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience building digital products as a Product Manager, ideally in SaaS, consumer platforms, media, or the creator economy.
- • Deep customer obsession with a focus on understanding creator and subscriber behavior and championing product quality.
- • Strong product intuition to identify high-impact improvements that drive creator success, conversion, or retention.
- • Ability to clarify ambiguous inputs from creators, teams, and data into clear product direction.
- • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams.
- • Strategic thinking to understand how product decisions affect conversion, retention, and long-term platform growth.
- • Bias for action—preferring to ship, learn, and iterate quickly based on real-world feedback.
- • Passion for the creator economy and experience building tools used by creators, media companies, or subscription businesses.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Direct impact on how podcast creators build sustainable businesses with their audiences, working alongside influential voices in podcasting.
- • Opportunity to shape the platform’s expansion into new capabilities like mobile apps, livestreaming, community, and newsletters under heavy investment from Red Seat Ventures (Fox Corp.).
- • Join a tight-knit, ambitious team building what they believe will become the operating system for creator-led media businesses.
- • Real ownership over what gets built, with good ideas shipped quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- • Remote-first work model with most team members across North America; primary work window aligned to Pacific–Eastern Time zones.
