- • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for Beam’s insurance-technology platform, translating high-level strategic goals into concrete product roadmaps that drive profitable growth and operational excellence.
- • Define and prioritize Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) that balance enterprise partner requirements, regulatory constraints, and customer delight—then shepherd each release from discovery through launch, iteration, and sunset.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between external enterprise partners and internal cross-functional teams (Engineering, Business Operations, Insurance Product Management, Data, Finance, Sales, and Customer Success), ensuring every stakeholder stays aligned on scope, timeline, and success metrics.
- • Continuously map and optimize complex operational workflows—underwriting, claims, billing, onboarding, renewals—identifying automation opportunities that reduce cost-to-serve and elevate the digital experience for brokers, employers, and members.
- • Translate actuarial models, underwriting rules, and regulatory mandates into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria that Engineering can execute against while maintaining scalability, reliability, and security.
- • Monitor real-time product performance via dashboards and ad-hoc analyses; surface actionable insights on customer engagement, conversion, retention, and operational efficiency to inform rapid experimentation and data-driven roadmap adjustments.
- • Collaborate with UX designers and front-end engineers to ensure every touchpoint—from broker portals to member mobile apps—delivers intuitive, accessible, and brand-consistent experiences that differentiate Beam in a crowded benefits market.
- • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management in an Agile environment, adapting ceremonies and artifacts to suit both standardized SaaS releases and bespoke enterprise implementations.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by running retrospectives, A/B tests, and voice-of-customer programs; institutionalize learnings so the organization gets smarter and faster with every cycle.
- • Step into high-impact, ambiguous problem spaces—such as AI-driven claims triage or dynamic pricing engines—rapidly decomposing complexity into phased deliverables that unlock early value while de-risking long-term bets.
- • Partner with Finance to model ROI for each initiative, ensuring every roadmap item ladders up to Beam’s strategic and financial growth targets; adjust priorities dynamically as market conditions or partner needs evolve.
- • Contribute to Beam’s thought leadership by publishing internal playbooks, presenting at industry conferences, and mentoring junior product talent—helping scale the Product function as the company grows.
