  • • As the Product Owner for the Donor Portal and Post-Donation Experience at FundraiseUp, you will be the visionary leader responsible for shaping and optimizing the critical journey donors embark on after completing a transaction. This role is pivotal in transforming engagement, fostering retention, and driving repeat donations into significant growth levers for the company. You will leverage structured discovery, rigorous experimentation, and advanced machine learning (ML) driven personalization to achieve these goals.
  • • Your primary objective will be to connect overarching company Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) with a robust product strategy, directly influencing Gross Payment Volume (GPV) and maximizing the Lifetime Value (LTV) of our donor base. This involves a deep understanding of the donor lifecycle and identifying key moments to enhance their experience and encourage continued support.
  • • You will own the strategic direction for the Donor Portal and the broader post-donation communication ecosystem. This includes defining a clear product vision that aligns with company and departmental OKRs, ensuring that every product decision contributes to our strategic objectives. This ownership extends to the entire lifecycle of the product, from ideation and validation to launch and ongoing iteration.
  • • A core responsibility is to drive measurable growth through a systematic approach to experimentation. You will proactively identify opportunities for increasing donor retention and facilitating upsells or increased giving. This will involve designing, executing, and analyzing structured experiments (e.g., A/B tests) and iterating rapidly based on data-driven outcomes to continuously improve performance.
  • • You will be instrumental in building and maintaining a comprehensive metrics system. This includes defining the North Star Metric that encapsulates the ultimate success of the post-donation experience, as well as developing a detailed metric tree that maps business goals to product initiatives and user behaviors. Tracking adoption rates, the frequency of recurring donations, and overall donor engagement will be paramount.
  • • Leading in-depth discovery processes is crucial. You will conduct qualitative user interviews to gather direct feedback, analyze quantitative cohort and funnel data to understand user journeys, and rigorously validate product hypotheses before committing to scaling solutions. This ensures that development efforts are focused on features and improvements that will have the most significant impact.
  • • A key differentiator for this role is the implementation of ML-driven personalization. You will identify and test opportunities to leverage machine learning to tailor the donor experience across both the portal and email communications. The goal is to create more relevant and engaging interactions that boost donor retention and increase LTV.
  • • Success in this role requires seamless cross-functional collaboration. You will partner closely with engineering, design, analytics, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to ensure that product strategies are effectively translated into tangible business impact. This collaborative approach ensures alignment and facilitates the smooth execution of product roadmaps.
  • • You will be responsible for defining what success looks like for the post-donation experience, establishing a clear product vision that resonates with both internal stakeholders and external users. This vision will guide the team's efforts and provide a roadmap for future development.
  • • Measurable growth in donor adoption and repeat donation rates will be a key indicator of your success. You will be expected to demonstrate a tangible increase in these critical metrics through strategic product initiatives.
  • • Maintaining a well-organized backlog of experiments and a consistent cadence of iteration will be essential for continuous improvement. This ensures that the team is always learning and adapting based on new data and insights.
  • • Fostering strong alignment between product development, GTM strategies, and overall retention efforts will be critical for cohesive and effective execution across the organization.
  • • You will ensure that AI is utilized meaningfully to scale performance and enhance the donor experience, rather than being treated as a secondary or experimental initiative. This means integrating AI capabilities strategically to drive core business outcomes.
