- • As the Product Owner for the Donor Portal and Post-Donation Experience at FundraiseUp Inc., you will be at the forefront of shaping the crucial moments after a donor makes a contribution. This isn't just about managing a product; it's about cultivating lasting relationships and transforming one-time givers into loyal, repeat supporters. You will own the strategic direction and execution for the entire post-donation journey, focusing on how we engage, retain, and encourage repeat donations. Your primary mission will be to turn these engagement and retention efforts into powerful, measurable growth levers, leveraging structured discovery, rigorous experimentation, and the power of machine learning-driven personalization.
- • You will be instrumental in connecting the company's overarching Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) directly to your product strategy. This means ensuring that every initiative you champion contributes tangibly to our Gross Payment Volume (GPV) and, more importantly, to the lifetime value of our donors. Your role is pivotal in driving outcomes that have a direct and significant impact on the company's financial success and donor loyalty.
- • Your core responsibility will be to define and execute the product vision for the Donor Portal and the broader post-donation experience. This vision must be meticulously aligned with both company-wide and departmental OKRs, ensuring a cohesive and strategic approach to growth. You will be the driving force behind identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for donor retention and upsell, implementing a robust experimentation framework to test hypotheses and iterate based on measurable outcomes. This data-driven approach ensures that our product development is always focused on what delivers the most value.
- • A critical aspect of your role will be to build and maintain a comprehensive metrics system. This includes defining our North Star metric and developing a detailed metric tree that maps business objectives to product strategies and ultimately to user behavior. You will be responsible for tracking key performance indicators such as adoption rates, the frequency of recurring donations, and overall donor engagement. This system will provide the visibility needed to understand our progress and identify areas for improvement.
- • You will lead a rigorous discovery process, diving deep into user needs and behaviors. This involves conducting in-depth user interviews, analyzing cohort data, and meticulously examining funnel performance to validate product hypotheses before committing to scaling solutions. This ensures that we are building features and experiences that truly resonate with our users and solve their problems effectively.
- • A significant part of your mandate will be to implement and optimize ML-driven personalization across both the Donor Portal and our email communications. The goal is to leverage artificial intelligence to create tailored experiences that significantly increase donor retention and lifetime value, making each interaction more relevant and impactful.
- • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, analytics, and go-to-market (GTM) departments. This close partnership ensures that product decisions are not made in a vacuum but are translated effectively into tangible business impact and seamless user experiences.
- • Success in this role will be defined by the creation of a clear, compelling product vision for the post-donation experience that resonates with both internal stakeholders and external users. It will be measured by demonstrable growth in donor adoption and repeat donation rates, a consistently updated and prioritized experiment backlog, and a regular cadence of iterative improvements. Furthermore, strong alignment between product strategy, GTM efforts, and retention initiatives will be crucial, as will the meaningful application of AI to scale performance, ensuring that technology serves our strategic goals effectively.
