Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As the Product Owner for the Donor Portal and Post-Donation Experience at FundraiseUp, you will be at the forefront of shaping how we engage and retain our donors after their initial contribution. This pivotal role is designed for a strategic thinker who thrives on turning donor engagement into measurable growth levers. You will own the entire post-checkout donor journey, focusing on increasing retention, encouraging repeat donations, and fostering long-term donor loyalty. Your work will directly impact the company's Gross Payment Volume (GPV) and the lifetime value of our donor base.
- • You will be responsible for defining and executing the product vision for the Donor Portal and all post-donation communications, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for every donor. This vision must be tightly aligned with the overarching company and department Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), translating high-level strategic goals into actionable product initiatives.
- • A core aspect of this role involves driving growth through a rigorous experimentation framework. You will proactively identify opportunities for donor retention and upsell, design and implement structured A/B tests and other experiments, and meticulously analyze the outcomes. Based on data-driven insights, you will iterate on the product to continuously improve donor engagement and maximize their lifetime value.
- • Building a robust metrics system is crucial. You will define the North Star Metric for the post-donation experience and develop a comprehensive metric tree that maps business objectives to product strategies and ultimately to user behavior. This system will be essential for tracking key performance indicators such as adoption rates, recurring donation frequency, and overall donor engagement levels.
- • Leading product discovery is paramount. You will conduct in-depth user interviews, analyze cohort data and user funnels, and rigorously validate product hypotheses before committing to larger-scale development. This ensures that our product roadmap is grounded in genuine user needs and market opportunities.
- • You will play a key role in implementing and optimizing ML-driven personalization across the Donor Portal and email communications. By leveraging machine learning, you will tailor the donor experience to individual preferences and behaviors, significantly enhancing retention rates and donor lifetime value.
- • Collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Go-To-Market (GTM) departments. This close partnership will ensure that product decisions are effectively translated into tangible business impact and that the donor experience is cohesive across all touchpoints.
- • Success in this role will be measured by the clarity and impact of your product vision for the post-donation experience, demonstrable growth in donor adoption and repeat donations, and the establishment of a well-defined experimentation backlog with a consistent iteration cadence. You will foster strong alignment between product strategy, GTM efforts, and retention initiatives, ensuring a unified approach to donor relationship management. Furthermore, you will ensure that AI is meaningfully integrated to scale performance, rather than being a secondary consideration.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to own a critical part of the donor lifecycle, directly influencing the growth and success of FundraiseUp. You will be empowered to make strategic decisions, drive innovation, and see the direct impact of your work on a global scale, all within a supportive and remote-first environment.
