📋 Description

• The challenges we face are deep and diverse, from creating digital experiences that provide comfort and clarity to claimants at their most stressed and vulnerable to orchestrating large-scale ML-driven decision-making on billions of dollars of claims payments.
• As a Product Subject Matter Expert for Commercial Property, you will be the bridge between the realities of claims handling and the teams building what comes next.
• You’ll work alongside Product, Engineering, Analytics, and other teams to turn real-world claims knowledge into better workflows, stronger data, and automation that helps insurers handle complex losses without losing the judgment and context that good claims work requires.
• You will be responsible for translating claims expertise into product requirements, workflows, edge cases, and decision frameworks.
• You will connect the operational, coverage, and financial picture, helping teams understand how claim decisions affect indemnity spend, expense management, reserves, business-interruption exposure, vendor costs, litigation risk, and loss performance.
• You will improve the inputs and outputs of the claims process, shaping how loss, inspection, estimate, policy, vendor, and financial information is captured and structured.
• You will align teams around the same definition of quality, partnering across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Claims Operations, Finance, Customer Success, and Leadership to address root causes and drive improvements.
• You will turn operational insight into measurable product improvements, prioritizing changes that improve claim outcomes—not just workflow activity.
• You will serve as a trusted internal authority on Commercial Property claims, guiding teams through coverage evaluation, damage assessment, scoping and estimating, restoration, business interruption, reserving, vendor coordination, documentation, and settlement.
• You will make complex claims concepts understandable and usable, clearly communicating findings, tradeoffs, and recommendations across technical and non-technical audiences.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep, hands-on Commercial Property claims experience, ideally as a field or desk adjuster, examiner, supervisor, or claims leader at a P&C carrier, TPA, MGA, or commercial property focused organization.
• Strong knowledge of the full Commercial Property claim lifecycle: FNOL, investigation, coverage evaluation, damage assessment, scoping and estimating, restoration, business interruption, reserving, settlement, and closure.
• Sound judgment navigating complex coverage, documentation, vendor, and financial considerations in high-severity or large-loss claims.
• A demonstrated ability to evaluate complex workflows, identify root causes, and distinguish meaningful improvements from cosmetic ones.
• Comfort owning ambiguous, high-leverage work with significant operational and financial impact.
• Curiosity about how automation and AI can improve claims workflows—paired with the judgment to know where human expertise, documentation, and controls still matter.
