  • • Lead quality assurance initiatives across all production processes for Emma’s sleep products, ensuring compliance with international safety, durability, and comfort standards.
  • • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of quality control systems in manufacturing facilities across Europe, aligning with Emma’s D2C operational model.
  • • Collaborate with product development, supply chain, and logistics teams to identify and resolve quality deviations before products reach customers.
  • • Conduct regular audits of production lines and supplier facilities to verify adherence to Emma’s quality specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • • Analyze customer feedback and return data to drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions that reduce defect rates and improve product reliability.
  • • Develop and maintain detailed quality documentation, including inspection protocols, non-conformance reports, and process control plans.
  • • Train and mentor production and quality team members on quality standards, tools, and methodologies to foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
  • • Work closely with third-party manufacturers to ensure consistent product quality across all global production sites.
  • • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product defects, return rates, and customer satisfaction, and present actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • • Ensure all production activities comply with EU and international product safety regulations, including REACH, RoHS, and CE marking requirements.
  • • Partner with R&D to validate new materials and product designs through rigorous testing protocols prior to mass production.
  • • Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from retail partners, customer service, and regulatory bodies.
  • • Drive cross-functional projects aimed at reducing waste, improving yield, and enhancing overall production efficiency without compromising quality.
  • • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging quality standards and industry best practices in the sleep and bedding sector.
  • • Represent Emma’s quality standards in external audits conducted by consumer associations and certification bodies.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Minimum of 5 years of experience in production quality management within manufacturing or consumer goods industries
  • • Proven track record in implementing and managing ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
  • • Strong understanding of EU product safety regulations (REACH, RoHS, CE) and international compliance standards
  • • Experience working with third-party manufacturers and supply chain partners across multiple countries
  • • Fluency in English; proficiency in Portuguese is a strong advantage
  • • Ability to analyze data and translate findings into actionable quality improvements
