  • • The Profee Inpatient Coding Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate medical coding for inpatient services, directly impacting reimbursement and financial health for clients by applying CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes with precision across multiple specialties.
  • • Day-to-day responsibilities include calculating ProFee Inpatient E/M levels using a proprietary algorithm, coding bedside procedures and surgical cases typical of ER settings, applying diagnosis and procedure codes to the highest specificity, interpreting coding guidelines, and maintaining compliance with ethical standards and company policies.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Current certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P)
  • • Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for basic tasks such as spreadsheet management, formulas, email, and scheduling
  • • Reliable phone, internet connection, and access to current coding reference materials (CPT, ICD-10-CM)
  • • Ability to maintain a minimum 95% productivity and quality accuracy rate
  • • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines
