  • • As a Professional Learning Specialist, Bilingual Literacy (Part-Time, Contractor) with Amplify Education, Inc., you will play a pivotal role in enhancing K–12 education by delivering high-quality professional development to educators and school leaders.
  • • This role is ideal for individuals with a background in teaching, coaching, or school leadership who are passionate about making a nationwide impact on student success.
  • • You will become an expert in two complementary Amplify Literacy programs, one in English and one in Spanish, ensuring you can confidently guide educators in their implementation.
  • • The position involves a comprehensive paid training program in May or June 2026, designed to certify you as a Professional Learning Specialist, covering both remote and onsite components, including a two-day in-person training.
  • • You will be responsible for facilitating engaging professional development sessions for approximately 30-40 educators per session, primarily during the summer season (June - September 2026), with potential for extended contract work.
  • • A key aspect of this role is understanding the unique contexts of our customers and tailoring the professional development to meet their specific needs and challenges.
  • • You will have continuous opportunities to grow your facilitation skills and deepen your product knowledge through ongoing coaching and internal training sessions.
  • • Efficiently track and complete all required deliverables related to session logistics in a timely manner, ensuring smooth operations.
  • • This is a part-time contract role, offering flexibility while allowing you to contribute significantly to educational improvement.
  • • The role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles and their practical application in adult education settings.
  • • You will be expected to possess and apply strong knowledge of best practices for implementing high-quality instruction in literacy, ensuring students meet and exceed rigorous grade-level standards.
  • • A significant component of the role involves facilitating professional development for teachers and/or leaders in both English and Spanish, requiring a Federal ILR Level 4 or above proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • • You must be highly skilled and comfortable using technology-based productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Applications, and various video conferencing platforms like Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • • Exceptional interpersonal skills are crucial for building rapport with educators, alongside outstanding written and oral communication abilities in both English and Spanish.
  • • You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity and confidently responding to in-the-moment challenges or concerns to effectively meet customer needs.
  • • Proven time management skills are essential for successfully managing multiple tasks and responsibilities within the contract role.
  • • Preferred candidates will have experience working with diverse student populations, including English learners, students with special education needs, and gifted and talented students.
  • • The role requires availability for a month-long onboarding process in May or June 2026, involving asynchronous courses, live virtual meetings, and an in-person training.
  • • Post-certification, you will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, with schedules dependent on customer demand, primarily during normal school hours across US time zones.
  • • A mandatory commitment is to deliver in-person PD a minimum of 3 days per week from July 13th to August 21st, 2026.
  • • Applicants must be permitted to work in the US, reside in the US, and possess a valid US driver's license, with the potential for regional assignments and nationwide delivery based on business needs.
  • • Candidates must live within 60 miles of a major metropolitan airport to facilitate travel.
  • • Travel is an essential function of the job, including overnight stays and transportation via car, plane, or public transit, sometimes with minimal notice.
  • • You will be responsible for initially covering travel expenses, with reimbursement processed 2-3 weeks after submission.
  • • It is important to ensure this role does not conflict with any district moonlighting or revolving door policies, and typically, this role is not held concurrently with active teaching or school leadership positions.
  • • This is a contingent workforce role, meaning you will be employed by a staffing agency, not directly by Amplify.
  • • Opportunities for work are contingent upon business demand and require maintaining good standing based on performance, professionalism, and customer feedback.
  • • Compensation is competitive, with specific rates for onboarding, session preparation, travel, and session facilitation, plus a bonus for bilingual session delivery.
  • • The role offers the benefit of retaining all travel points for flights and hotels booked for work-related travel, and mileage reimbursement may be available.
